The Nevada Athletic Commission has every reason to believe Tyson may not be mentally fit to fight.

He needs to get help before he kills someone.

I wanna see Mike as the Heavyweight Champion again, but I'm sure he'll selfdestruct before he even gets the chance.:(

Well at least Leno should have a few more jokes to rag on Eubanks for liking Tyson.

Man I've never been within 10 light years of even thinking of ordering a boxing PPV, but for some reason Tyson v Lewis actually had me a tiny bit intrigued. I probably still won't get it but I wanna at least have the chance.

watching someone fall to the mat after having their brain jostled in their head after a mind numbing blow is not a joke!

the antics that surround these over-hyped matches is a joke!

There is also a rumor somewhere on the AP Wires that Mike bit Lennox. If I can find it I'll post a link.

Maybe Mike just likes the taste of very lean, human boxer meat?

Is the fight cancelled for good?

If Tyson isn't crazy, he's fooling a lot of people. Some are saying this was to hype up the fight but when Lewis' people touched him he went off.

If it wasn't a set up by both boxers, it was an out for Tyson. Dude wants no part of Lennox, and hasn't even done any training in preparation for the fight. AND it was going to take place in two months? Yeah, right! Tyson is TRYING to get in trouble, and he saves face by not getting destroyed by lennox. Tyson= washed up, and my gut feeling the past year or so was that they would never match up. Just as it seems like they might, this happens to totally reaffirm my belief it'll never go down.

Boxing, in general, is a farce. However, stick around for some middle and lightweight fights, and you might be pleased. Can't wait for vargas-de la hoya....

I have to disagree with the title of this thread.

In my opinion, Mike Tyson did not go nuts again. I think he went nuts, and stayed that way.

I hope you don't think that I am nitpicking.;)

This is a bunch of BS. First off, this kind of stuff happens all the time in press conferences. It just happened last week with DLH and Vargas and a few weeks ago between Barrera and Morales, but since Tyson was involved, it's a big deal and everyone wants to play psychologist. Tyson isn't looking for a way out of this fight, he actually signed the contract to fight days before Lewis did. Also, it was agreed by both sides that there would be a face off/stare down at the begining of the conference and Tyson walked towards Lennox to do so but it appears Lewis had changed his mind or got scared and just stood thier with his protection. When Mike was close to Lewis, one of Lennox's bodyguards put his hands on Mike and the farcas started. This fight will take place, there is too much money involved and this latest Tyson tirade which is being shown all over the news probrobly made him an extra million through PPV buys.

2 reasons, at least, this fight won't take place. And this won't even go into whether or not one fighter is scared of the other.

    1) Some relatively solid evidence has appeared that points toward tyson raping a woman.

    2) Tyson's behavior, ESPECIALLY if he bit lennox at the press conference, will totally prevent him from being reinstated by Las Vegas, hence all others will follow suit, and he'll never fight outside of mexico and australia again. i.e. he'll never set foot in an American boxing ring.

Now, those are facts that will likely keep the fight from going down, regardless of how much money is on the line. And what does it matter if tyson signed the contract first, if he knew he was going to wuss out anyway? By him signing the contract, acting like an ingrate at the press conference, by bullying the media in Cuba, he is saving face by not getting knocked on his ASS in the ring! He's sabotaging the chance to fight lewis!

If you watched the SW sports tonight after the game one of the 2 sports casters pointed out the tyson miss a close range punch on one of Lewis' people and after seeing it again I think I agree it was all staged

Its all up to the Nevada Boxing Commision if he'll get his license back...hmmmm Tyson vs. Lewis = A BAZILLION DOLLARS FOR LAS VEGAS. He'll get his license back.

Its up to the Las Vegas D.A. if they'll press charges about this so called "Rape"...hmmmm Tyson vs.Lewis=A BAZILLION DOLLARS FOR LAS VEGAS. No charges will be made.

Did ya see the Prss conference. Looked kinda fake, many soprts prgrams were calling it fake too. That would take away the seriousness of this pre-fight fight a bit.

The fight will go on cuz its all about the money.

A fight at a boxing press conference....

Boy this never happened before Mike Tyson, or between anyone but Tyson and a potential opponent.

Thank goodness the rest of the boxing world has its head on straight. I can sleep at night knowing that.
