I guess we will finally be able to start getting an idea of what the Texans will look like next season. I heard some report that said Rob Johnson will not be protected. Has anyone else heard this?
I heard Terrel Owens was available. But thats the stupidest thing Ive ever heard. Why would the Niners give up the best receiver in the NFL.
The Texan's website says that the list has to be reviewed by the league first & will be released on Friday.
Unbelievably, Tony Boselli is in the expansion draft. This would essentially eliminate the need to take McKinnie. http://www.sportsline.com/u/partner...line.com/u/ce/multi/0,1329,4880196_59,00.html Here's a thread from HPF.com that has some links: http://www.houstonprofootball.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?read=5297 Some intriguing possibilities include Antonio Freeman, Lerry Centers, Simeon Rice, Charlie Batch, etc.
We ought to pick up Bruce Matthews & let him retire here in Houston. That'd be really cool. What would the salary hit be & if he retired, would his salary cap hit drop off? Anyone know? I don't know anything about the NFL's salary cap.
Hot Damn! Let's see..Boselli has been in the league for six years, is the premiere left tackle in the game and is a proven team leader. Let's keep the big uglies rolling in!

good point, but... OL have such a long shelf life, i can't imagine the texans would leave him on the board. he likely could move to guard and play another 5-7 years effectively. the mitigating factor is casserly's willingness to help jacksonville out with their cap problems. he'd be doing them a tremendous favor lifting boselli off their books. maybe right now, but a) not in their primes; b) neither will be available in the expansion draft.
