Can Someone please explain to me why this is such a big deal. The damn thing took up 16 out of the 20 spots in Youtube's most viewed videos of today. Was he a soccer prodigy and this basically ended his career? <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RpHufZEaFe0&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RpHufZEaFe0&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Because it was a nasty injury. Its not exactly the worst injury ever in soccer but it was still pretty bad.
uh, well, take a video of your foot and lower leg bone being turned perpendicular to your leg, up it, and see how many views you get.
OK I wouldn't say he's a soccer prodigy cause he's 24 and this is his first year with Arsenal and in the premier league but was a really great scorer and made the most of his opportunities. But yah huge deal cause his career is possibly over and Arsenal's run at the Premier League title is affected pretty badly because he was one of their healthy consistent strikers. But omg just wow how grotesque of an injury, hopefully he can recover from this and not be permanently injured due to this.
I personally liked the tribute with Gary Jules' "Mad World" song overlay. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/If9oyBH623s&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/If9oyBH623s&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Also because the whole world uses youtube and about 1/6th of it watch football. When basketball in the United States is your number one focus, its difficult to comprehend just how many football fans there are in the world.
