27-16 Detroit after the first. Before the game all the coverage was Shaq, and Walton and Wilbon actually said that the Phoenix trade was going to have more impact than the Gasol trade... Thankfully JVG chimed in when the game started and pointed out the Suns' glaring weakness without Marion - lack of perimeter shooting from the starting five, and the loss of a great perimeter defender. Pistons look good. Always underrated yet always a threat. Hopefully the Suns lose so the Rockets can inch closer to the top of the standings with a win against the Bulls.
how did they call a tech on amare for that dunk? you could dish out about 10 techs a game for hanging on the rim if you consider that a technical. hell you can do a chin up and slap the backboard and most of the time not get called for anything. amare barely even hung on the rim. and this is the nba, not college, they're all big boys, if somebody hangs on the rim we don't need to dish out some sportsmanship technical anyway. like jvg said, let them hang and be late back on D, who cares. oh well, go pistons.
yeah I was about to make a thread 20 min ago about it, but was too lazy. I was planning to watch it on tv, but then the pre-game blowjob just kinda turn me off. (just leaving it on for the audio) JVG just said Rox can win a Champion this year........
demon would it be possible for you to give us mms links for tonight's rockets game off of espn360? (using espn360 directly doesn't work for those of us outside the states)
there won't be mms link, but there is espn 360 (just click on link to see if it work for you): ESPN360
it seems like shaq is throwing off the suns offensive rhythm.. when he was on the bench the suns made a run.. the instant he came back in pistons on a 10-0 run....overrated trade!!!
I keep watching the Suns thinking... "oh well, they'll be okay when ____ comes back..." And then I realize that they're not missing anybody. THIS is their team. Sure, Shaq will get into better shape... but if the last couple of years is any indication (where his health was improved), he still won't be a consistent low-post presence. And, add to the fact that Nash typically wears down as the season goes on (and he's not getting any younger), their limited outside shooting, and the possibility that Shaq's presence clogs the lane and makes it harder for Nash to penetrate and dish (which wouldn't be so bad if O'Neal was still a big threat offensively... but he isn't).
Stoudemire really needs to watch himself in the second half. A couple frustrating calls for him...can't let it end up in a tech, as he already has one for hanging on the rim. It would REALLY suck for the Suns if he were ejected...it would be a Bill Kennedy-throwing-out-Steve Francis all over again.
AWESOME! I have no idea how this link works (or how most computer/internet stuff works) but can you please give us one like this when the Rockets game starts as well When I go to espn360.com myself from here in Europe, all it shows me is NHL Hockey options
Why would Shaq make that big of a difference? He's still a great rebounder, but he's vulnerable in the pick and roll, and doesn't have as much quickness for the weakside blocks anymore. Also, Stoudamire is getting TORCHED by Wallace... continuing his rep as a player who has no interest in playing defense.
