Hey guys, I am planning on moving out soon and I was wondering what is the best site to find apartment listings in Houston. All the ones I Google'd were crappy and had old listings from like 2006. Which ones have you used? Can you recommend one? tia
I used apartments.com. Pretty useful. Apartmentratings.com is also interesting for some info, but take some of the reviews with a grain of salt, since they are anonymous. I moved into an apartment that had low user reviews but it's great.
Try Rent.com. They mail you a $100 gift card if you find an apartment through them. I've used them twice (albeit not for an apartment in Houston, but they do have listings across the nation). Good luck!
Oh and DONT use ApartmentGurus.com They claim to give rebate checks if you use them and name them on your app, but I havent gotten anything.
Houston Association of Realtors - go to find a home, then residential lease, pretty detailed search engine of all the real estate listings in Houston har.com
Or Asian, every time I see the Birthday list on the monthly newsletter, I see like 200 asian names out of 250
I just recently found a place (I actually ended up in a condo instead of an apartment). Most of the sites I used have been listed (apartments.com, rent.com, apartmentratings.com), but one I didn't see was apartmentguide.com. If you want to consider a condo, you can check har.com or chron.com. Or you can go to the store and pick up an apartment guide for free. I think they usually have them at grocery stores, and the blockbuster I used to live by had them as well. Good luck in your search! Pugs
