Do ya believe in the Rockets yet?
    Do ya?

Not only do they have an 11-game win streak, but just this week they have shown versatility in victory that only good teams can muster.

They beat Cleveland when their two stars Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady didn't play well. The Rockets aren't supposed to be able to win those kinds of games. Yao and McGrady combined to go 9-for-38 from the floor, but the rest of the team made up for it by making 23-of-41 shots.

Thursday, the Rockets did what good teams do against bad teams, they ran out to a huge early lead and stomped Miami with an all-around solid effort. All five starters scored in double digits, and Carl Landry came off the bench to add 19 points.

Friday night at New Orleans, which entered with the best record in the Western Conference, the shorthanded Rockets cruised to a win with the two stars controlling the contest (34 points for McGrady, 28 for Yao). We even had an "almost normal" Rafer Alston sighting, as he went 1-for-7 on 3-pointers and 4-for-14 overall, but he added 11 assists and good defense on Chris Paul and Jannero Pargo in 42 minutes of play.

Familiar with all the talk that the Rockets can't win when Yao and McGrady don't dominate? They did Tuesday.

Familiar with the talk (though there has been less of that in 2008) that the Rockets play down to their opponents? They didn't Thursday.

Familiar with the talk that the Rockets can't beat top teams without a third scorer taking the load off of McGrady and Yao? They did on Friday.

The Rockets do need Yao and McGrady to dominate, and they need a third scorer to consistently contribute. But in winning the way they did this week, did they prove to you that they are legit?

Yes, after Adelman has come, present's rocket is very formidable, but we want the low key

    ...

PS:English is not good, the possible grammar wrong…Learns English, I will go to Houston to watch the ball game

youre missing the point. he is saying that is the reason he considers them legit, because they do not need to rely on their stars as much as they had in the past.

Exactly. The fact is that we beat Cleveland, East Champs, with Yao and T-Mac playing not so good. Last year, if neither had a good game, it was almost an automatic loss.

I still don't consider us legit, because Cleveland is sorry...
They "might" be a 10 seed out west.

And again, if Mac gives us effort consistently , I would say we are contenders. He has yet to do that in his career(I am praying he can).

Team ball is better than individual ball.....

And I have been waiting YEARS for a team game to resurface in Houston.

He doesn't have to give effort consistently to be contenders. When the playoffs start, his inconsistent effort in the regular season will have very little to do with how he will perform in the playoffs.

You only need to ask once, and the answer is "No," I don't. We're a good team, but not good enough to win it all.

Hopefully we will develop our rookies a little more by next season (Scola, Landry), acquire a few more veteran pieces around Yao/McGrady, and luck out with some easier playoff drawings that won't completely expose our weaknesses.

Can we make it past the first round? Yes, but we would have to get home court advantage first. Past that, I am not so sure...

Don't understand why Kings let Adelman go and turn a playoff team to a lottery team.

"We" as in the NBA or the Rockets?

Yao consistently gives us a double double.

McGrady I would agree with before the All-Star break. But since then he has consistently given us a great effort. Let's hope that continues into the playoffs.
