Exactly. JVG's teams had the imprint of Rudy T all over them. Rudy never even had a training camp with Yao. Yao couldn't even speak English under Rudy. Rudy basically broke him in for Jeff. In addition, Larry Smith coached the Rockets to an 8-9 record after Rudy left, better than JVG's 6-11 record at the end of his first year. Steve Francis had his best years under Rudy. JVG was the beneficiary of all that.
Yes, I'm watching the same team and yes we do play great offense every night. Every night we move the ball around and find easy baskets. Do the shots always fall? No. That doesn't mean the team didn't play the right way and that doesn't mean they didn't play great offense. It means they played great offense that wasn't effective. Last year, we played defense the right way, night in and night out, but we still had 110 plus points scored on us from time to time. That doesn't mean we didn't play a great defensive style. It just means that greatness does not equal perfection. A3PO, I don't think we're that far off on our opinions. I just happen to be a glass half full guy. I know we haven't been perfect but I like what I see. You see holes in the Rockets game, but you like what you see. I really don't want to get in an argument with someone I agree with because we look at the same thing differently. I'm with you, let's go beyond 15 in a row!
