I hope this was old blog because we are not only in the playoff but we also will be in the Western Conference final.
Aren't fans suppose to be total cheerleaders??? Or at least total cheerleaders until you know its over for sure
You were sure cheering about how much better the Warriors and Nuggets were than the Rockets, even though they had weak schedules and the Rockets were learning a new offense on a hard road schedule against playoff teams.
Still holding on to the idea tha Rockets have no chance of making the playoffs, yet, you believe the Sacramento Kings still have a chance.
Be careful. Only 3/4 games difference from the top to 8th in wets conference. I predict that Denver will miss the last spot.
Looking at remaining schedules, I predict: 1. Lakers 58-24 2. Spurs 57-25 3. Suns 55-27 4. Jazz 53-29 5. Mavs 54-28 (home court adv over Jazz, like last year's Jazz-Rox series) 6. Rockets 53-29 7. Hornets 52-30 8. Nuggets 51-31 9. Warriors 50-32 Of course, I would like to see the Rockets move up higher than the 6 seed, but a Suns- Rockets first round would be interesting. The Rockets match up well against the Suns after these recent trades. The Lakers move up because of the Gasol trade and their remaining schedule is favorable. The Hornets drop because their remaining schedule is difficult. Nuggets and Warriors may flip flop, but, in either event, a team that wins 50 games does not make the playoffs.
LOL today you said the season isnt over yet for the Rockets to miss the playoffs but how convenient it is for you to say the season was already over 2 months ago when the Rockets were struggling. Are you really a Rockets fan? or are you just so full of yourself . You ve already made a fool of yourself - just give in.
So you are saying we will go 18 and 9 the rest of the way? 18-9 (a win clip of ~67%) is not a bad finish (mid you we are still in the middle of a historic win streak) but I think we can do better. That is too many loses for our team going forward unless you are factoring a key injury down the stretch. Now if we land Barry and Jackson fits in well, the odds of losing 9 games the rest of the way becomes much less. I cannot think of any team that we do not have a considerable amount of chance to beat the rest of the way. We now matchup well with every team in the West (and NBA for that matter) for the first time since 1995.
I'd like us to matchup with the Nuggets or Mavs, if possible. I think we could take those teams. The rest I'm iffy on.
I'm thinking now I may have underestimated this squad. Barring injury, I think we'll hit 53-54 wins and pass the Mavs. Thanks, but I'll stick with my original thinking on the subject -- seeing as how it looks like I was RIGHT. Heh. Ah, Brooksball. It must be tough being such an expert these days.
