ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Hornets 2/22/2008

Wow, the Rox played like champs tonight.

I was worried that they would lose and break the streak, but they are playing like they can beat anybody. Sure seems like they can. Great play by the big two, and great play by the rest. Beating the NO team was a statement.

Hoping they can keep the streak going...

 

Wow, you really hate David West.

 

An amazing game. I haven't been this excited about the outcome of a regular season Rockets game in many many years.

A statement and a half to the rest of the league.

 

When Yao and T mac play well we blow out top contenders by 20+. When they have an off night we'll beat teams by 10+. In other words, no one can stop us with the chemistry and defense that we have on this team. GO ****ING ROCKETS!!!

 

a lot of people hate west.

west and company really tried to beat up on our rooks (landry and scola) and intimidate their play because they couldn't hang with the rockets legitimately

too bad we didn't have bonzi in there to stick up for the team.

if you watched the celts/suns that game was pretty intense as well. with all these teams so close emotions are flaring up all over the league and it's only gonna get hotter

I actually just got back from the club tonight, and saw Rafer, Chuck, Deke, Lu head and Aaron brooks doing alittle celebrating. Can't blame them with the way they played tonight. They were all very nice guys.

This was the best Rockets performance in the regular season I've seen in years. They absolutely played with a purpose, and they wanted the league to take notice. They put a stamp on their 11 game winning streak with a monster W on NO's home floor.

You add Bobby Jackson to our second unit instead of of an overwhelmed Aaron Brooks and the Rockets are so very dangerous. I love this team's talent and chemistry. Don't get me wrong Brooks is going to be a very good player I believe, but for right now Jackson gives our 2nd unit stability and a nice boost.

 

I usually post it 2-3 hour after game is over (that when they upload the game into the archive)

 

I didn't see the game but I looked at the box scores and it looked like Tracy and Yao step up big time. This was the first time in a while they both had great games. I knew Tracy would come to play when we needed him most.

Now I wonder what those people are saying that said we haven't beat a great team yet.

Gundy is in high school, but Adelman is at graduate level at least. Maybe Phil is PhD? One friend just told me PhD= pretty huge D***. lol

Best thing about the whole performance was that NO lost their cool and came off like a bunch of whining punks while the Rockets kept theirs and held serve and didn't get sucked into the BS calls and cheap shots. A lot of maturity from where they were three months ago.

 

adelman got b-jack for a reason...to back up rafer..aaron brooks just ain't getting it done lately..no scoring from him and he's a defensive liability ...coach said he needs a second unit that can keep the lead or even build the lead when the starters rest..coach have said that is still our weakness...the starters get us big lead then the bench comes in and let the other team get back in the game a90% of the games...
