well we only have 13 +.500 teams left to play, 15 home and 12 away. so it's pretty good.

still, 5 or 6 is where I think we'll be.

    Hope not jinxed.

I see Hornets, Nugs, and Mavs all fading significantly. SA?? I would bet they finish strong. Phoenix to me, looks much weaker. I think they finish mediocre. Lakers are going to remain strong, especially if Bynum comes back. Sloan won't let Utah slip.

I think the Western Conference Champ will come from among San Antonio, Utah, Lakers, and us. And I think if we do not have serious injury, we can play with any of those teams.

Once again, we will go as far as Rafer takes us.

What are you talking about we are only 2 games away from not making the playoffs. We have no chance to even do that.

Seriously I was worried about New orleans. I didn't see any problem passing SA and Dallas but the Hornets coming into tonight looked like a tough team to beat. Now I am thinking if we can beat them 2 more times we will surely pass them in the standings and should win our division.

Perhaps I am getting ahead of myself but man tonight was a big win. The Rockets looked great. There 2 superstars looked great. I've never seen TMac play better as a Rocket. Sure he has scored more and put up better numbers but tonight he was all about doing what it takse to win. Plus I don't think he sees this as his team as Van Gundy had him thinking but he is part of very good team that can do something special. Whatever this new found energy comes from his renewed play along with a team of guys who lay it on the line every night looks good. Add that with the emergence of landry and a solid bench which will get better with Jackson and there is alot to be optimistic about. So I see no reason why we can't win our division. I am not so sure we can pass L.A. but who knows.

I know Rafer is playing the best basketball of his life but I hope our team does not depend on him totally. He does have his moments of sucking in big games. Although last night was pretty big so maybe he is done with that. I hope so.

Yeah they got a chance. Lakers IMO are the only team as good as the rockets in the west

We certainly do have a "chance" but so does any of the top 7 seeds. Right now, it's too hard to say.

But if I were to bet on who the number one seed would be - it would fall in this order:

    Lakers
    Jazz
    Phoenix
    Houston
    Spurs
    Dallas
    New Orleans

there's a chance but other teams might have easier upcoming schedules.

i'd bet on the lakers coming out on top followed by the suns, spurs, and jazz for HC.
