What I believe to be solid: They crash Sept 22, 2004 They are on the island for at least 3 months (relative to island time) Crazy flipped out Jack is seen April 2007 This flash forward is no less than a few months before Jack becomes a bearded crazy. That was Claire's baby, and was close to 2 years old in the flash forward. Farady's rocket (and the Tunisian polar bear) showed that you might "slip" in time when entering/exiting the island if you don't come in/out the same exact way. It's possible that the Oceanic 6 (plus others) may slip in time when they're rescued, though I doubt it would be a significant one. Maybe they are rescued Oct 2004 or March 2005. Either way, I don't see how there would be time for Kate to deliver to term and her son age to a toddler in 2 years or less. If she claimed to have Aaron on the island, that would mean they couldn't return to California any earlier than 2006 (real world time). Jack is definitely trying to suppress the fact that they cut bait on everyone left on the island - it's why he is avoiding Aaron - Aaron is an undeniable representation of what/who they left behind. Possibly he is a remainder of "what happened to Claire" as a consequence of their hitching a ride home. Kate calling Jack on his trying to believe his own lie about there not being other survivors is another hint at this. Eventually, something will happen that will crack the mental wall Jack's building, and his guilt over leaving everyone else in peril on the island will prompt what we saw in the S3 finale. Evan
Regarding time shifts: Here's the Dharma Orchid Station orientation vid the producers showed at ComicCon. I hadn't seen it until today. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4bTvAUVPyLI&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4bTvAUVPyLI&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I've read things in the past that I wished I hadn't because I'd clicked through spoiler tags when I thought they were related to the previous episode when they were actually true spoilers.
at :49 of that video, the building is the Narvik Town Hall in Norway. and at 1:10 what does all this mean? I have no idea, but this season has been awesome.
Very good, very trippy episode. I wonder if any of this ties into how Desmond was able to see the future after the hatch blew up.
daniel's notebook told him to use desmond as his constant just as desmond is using penelope as his constant
This episode was filled with "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?" I was on the edge of my seat throughout just trying to figure out wtf was going on.
no..but if i had to guess i would probably think it was 23 hours and 42 minutes, based on the fact that the whole trip should have only lasted about 20 minutes, but it took them (i'm assuming) a full day
We're watching the season 1 at school in my English class (we're speaking french here) and I just watched 1 hour ago on ABC and I understand NOTHING. There are a lot of new characters and it piss me off cause I like this serie and it was almost boring when I watched it on ABC.
How far into season 1 are you? Needless to say, a lot of things have happened in the first 3 seasons. I remember not being interested in the show because I thought it was just about people stranded on an island kind of like a scripted "Survivor". But I started watching with season 2 and had to buy the DVD's to catch up. It does start with the stranded on an island theme, but it becomes so much more than you could ever initially imagine.
PS. I think that as of now, they only have 2 or 3 more episodes in the can. They're still planning to add 5 more shows to this season to bring the total to 13 (originally scheduled for 16). The "missing" episodes will be folded over into the last 2 seasons.
LOL Lost isn't a show you can just jump into and follow. You need to be totally caught up. Get the previous seasons and you'll be on the edge of the seat when you watch this episode that just aired. On to the episode, it was amazing. Time travel definitely factors in now.
