Bill Worrell said during the pregame show that Bonzi told him he was not happy to be traded since he thought the rockets have a better chance than the hornets to win it all this year. What a poor guy, I really miss him as a rocket.
By watching this game, didn't seem like we needed him. Landry FTW! But I'm gonna have to thank Bonzi for all of the great memories he brought us.
yeah, i dont seem to have any sympathy for bonzi after half-a$$ing it last year and dissappearing during the playoffs. oh well, he was good for us this year, but our PG production looks like its gonna become more efficient during the playoffs, I HOPE and, we'll have more $$ for a big offseason addition!
Who can forget his injury riddled first year with us? Loved the memory of that spare tire around his waist and his walkout on the team right before the playoffs... That being said, he played well for the most part the second year. Decent contract year drive. Thanks for getting in shape Bonzi and helping out.
That's a heck of a statement, that he thought that a team tied for the #8 seed was better then the #1 seed. Clearly he was right if you judge things by this game! LOL. If he wants a championship he'll sign with the Rockets in the offseason.
I thought we needed him last game. But you're right we didn't look like we needed him this game. Unfortunately the Hornets look like they could really use him. Almost no low post presence and even worst than that they have no experienced leadership. Bonzi gives them both. In spite of what some think about Bonzi this year I thought he was such a team player and enthusiastic leader on the bench. He helped carry us thru the TMac injury. On a side note, I was thinking that maybe the Rockets deliberately held up the physicals for Jackson so as to stop Bonzi from playing tonight.
This is what you get for not knowing the defensive rotations and just try to wing it. I suspect he'll be OK with the Hornets, though.
He also got his shoe endorsement through the rockest..so don't be surprised if he signs with the rockets this summer
I bet a small message to the rest of NBA in this blowout is that the Rockets will be fine without Bonzi. Something for the talking heads like Barkley and those ESPN hacks to chew on.
Bonzi is looking for money and gets disgruntled easily but if he wants to come back for the vet's minimum,I would welcome him back. The chances of that happening is almost 0%.
