Moments ago against Sacramento, Gerald Wallace received a powerful elbow from Mikki Moore to the face, and remained totally unconscious on the floor for several minutes. Scary and shocking. I hope he is better but this is really scary. Something you hate to see on a basketball court. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZyJoPMK20Bo&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZyJoPMK20Bo&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/os81C3WZPm8&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/os81C3WZPm8&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Makes me sick to see that. But it didn't look nearly as bad as Karl Malone's ultimate cheap shot elbows on David Robinson and Isiah Thomas.
i call that intentional elbow, but if yer all up in someone's grille esp with a big PF/C, expect an elbow to the face karlmalone would elbow, kick, and punch you, then get u called for a foul for defending yourself
Malone's shot on Isiah was sick and thuggish. Isiah had a monster game that night and just destroyed Stockton and Utah, that's why Malone did that. Isiah says that, to this day, he can't remember that game. He didn't remember anything about that game the day after playing it.
This is very similar to when Deke elbowed Lebron or when he knocked Tmac out last year. This might be more serious though.
It's truly a sad sight. I wish him well and hope he'll be ok. I like his game as he's having the best 2 years of his career right now. I've actually been following his career since he was drafted.
I know its late but heres an update anyways for those of you who don't know how he is: Bobcats forward Wallace out at least two weeks after suffering concussion WASHINGTON - Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace will miss at least two weeks after suffering his fourth concussion in four seasons Friday night in a loss to Sacramento. "Gerald is probably going to be two weeks to maybe slightly more," Charlotte coach Sam Vincent said before Saturday's game with the Washington Wizards. "He's in an observation stage." Wallace was knocked unconscious by an inadvertent elbow to the face by the Kings' Mikki Moore, and was taken to the hospital. A team official said Wallace was suffering some amnesia, but tests showed no fractures and no internal bleeding. Wallace was released from the hospital later Friday night. "I think everybody, coaching staff, organization, wants to be cautious about getting him back," Vincent said. "We want to make sure there's no danger to his health. We're going to give him the time, let him get examined, follow the process to make sure he's OK when he's ready to play." Although the concussion wasn't Wallace's fault, Vincent said the team has been concerned about the forward's aggressive style of play. "This is something serious," Vincent said. "I think coming back, he's got to be a little concerned, not concerned but aware. He needs to be aware." Wallace, the team's leading scorer with a 20.6 points per game, was replaced in the starting lineup by Jared Dudley.
