Another decent win. The Rockets should have blown them out, but I thought they got really careless in the 2nd with long shots early in the shot clock. At least they won again.

The really big challenge is going to be against the Hornets. Have we gotten any better or did we just hold our own against weak opponents?

Yeah, Head and Brooks had a few possessions in a row in the 2nd quarter where it was a relatively quick 3, or a turnover. Gave Miami some confidence.

    totally biased judgement

spurs won by buzzer beater, who can assure that this kind of shot can go in??? and who can assure that the final shot of timberwolves went out???

rockets got a solid win. refs were keeping the game up for TNT purspose i think. We almost always control the game.

Why are there always someone kicking ourselves ass and boast for other teams???

Well, early in the year, the Rockets were actually winning the big games against good teams. They've won games this year (Suns/Lakers on the road, Spurs, etc) that they would not have won last year, or even the year before.

Where they were really hurting was losing to the teams they should have beat. So if they are beating those teams now, then they have improved.

Winning a lot in the NBA = consistency.

The Rockets were not consistent early in the year. They'd have a great game and win against a top tier team, then come back and lose a sloppy game to a lesser opponent. The fact that they can now win the games they are supposed to win is huge.

Oh yeah? What if we win tomorrow and lost the 12th game? Does it mean the 11 straight wins don't mean anything?

reggie miller is such a blowhard announcer. he introduces nothing new and sometimes, ok often, he'll say something based on one play that just occurred and pretend its a trend he has tracked with his insight.

2 examples off the top of my head from tonight:
"head has some great hands" after a simple bounce pass... luther head... great point guard extraordinaire.
"t-mac has his rhythm back after getting back from his injury" he watched him hit 4 shots in a row and pretends he has his eye out for t-mac

is there any way a national sports media wont sound ignorant? do they consult local observers at all? a couple coaches like fratello, JVG or collins sound reasonable but then you'll hear something right off the scouting report like "yao is 7'6"... but ya know what... he's skilled"

yeah i agree, rather than give some ex-basketball-star the job of the annoucer, we should just give the job to someone who really wants it and will watch say 60% of the regular season games and can give insight analysis. barkley doesn't know what he's talking about, but at least he's entertaining, reggie is just plain boring...zzz
