decent post but are we better today?

short term, i think no. long term possibilities notwithstanding, these trades aren't about making us better now.

we've thrown in the towel on this year's chances.

I like this trade I mean Gerald green has more upside then synder, both are dumb as a bag of sand but Gerald Green's potential could be a gem for us.

Where's the "Meeeh" option. This trade will have no impact since Green will probably get as much minutes as Snyder did. Well I guess Green can give you that highlight dunk during garbage time

Why so solid? Bonzi wasn't going to be here next year anyway. I, for one, won't miss him at all. Unlike the others here, I saw Wells as a big dumbass who screwed himself out of a big payday 2 years ago at SAC. So last year he comes here all pissed off and basically does squat and the kids here want to blame JVG for Bonzi being a dumbass. OK fine. But no one wants to look at the fact that the ONLY reason he came back here was because nobody else wanted him. He's only interested in trying to get paid PERIOD which he would have been at SAC if he hadn't been such a DUMBASS.

I look at it this way: If Bonzi Wells was to be the difference maker for the Rox in the playoffs, then they were doomed from the get-go. What this team really needs is for TMac to start living up to his rep and actually play some hard noised, ain't nobody gonna stop me basketball. If he decides to do that, then come playoff time you'll find yourself saying "Bonzi who?".

Finally Someone see's the problem ! Hilltop you hit it right on ! T-Mac has played horribly lately and has shown no true interest in the recent games. Every big team in the west has two All-Stars and so do we except my favorite player in the NBA, T-Mac, has not been living up to what he can do. If T-Mac plays like his old self again then we are contenders plus we have some money to spend for next year !

I dont love it but i do like it.
Since he won't get much playing time (like Snyder) it's not a bad trade.
Essentially we traded an athletic, dumb guy for a more athletic, dumber guy.
    Fair trade.

Like Synder, I doubt Green will get any meaningful minutes this season. So is hard to justify the trade!

This move has nothing but upside to it! Good coaching with Adelman & Co. plus, working along side Yao & T-Mac! This WILL be watershed moment in this franchises history. This like getting a person with T-Mac-esque abilities while T-Mac was in Toronto before he went to Orlando.

I think this is a good move. Great move? That is to be determined ...

I think that you guys are missing the point: the price for moving Snyder (and his contract) was Green. He's really a longshot to even be here next year and if he's not, then they really haven't lost much.

What is not to like about this trade? We lose nothing and could gain something special. If Green doesn't pan out, all we gave up to get him was Snyder and a 2nd rounder. It doesn't hurt us. If Green turns out to be the next T-Mac, Morey is the greatest GM ever and we gain a whole bunch.

Green is going to make Houston Rockets game much more prettier. And a slum dunk champion may be.

There is no downside to the trade. It's all good. If he works out, he get's resigned. If he suck, then he get's released.

    No risk.
