Can we still get Cassell?

I know the trade deadline just passed, but isn't the deadline for picking up a player who gets cut later?

What if the Clippers cut Cassell, we release Haluska and sign on Cassell? Is this still possible, with Cassell being eligible for the playoffs? If yes, until when?

    Thanks.

Bobby Jackson pretty much seals the end of this, let's just hope he's not bought out at all.

According to the Morey interview we are in prime position to potentially add one of the veterans that will get released in the coming weeks. So yes, Cassell is a possibility. I would love to get Cassell. He is a better weapon, leader, closer, and changeup to Rafer in comparison to BJ.

Does Cassell conflict with Jackson? I don't think so. Jackson has played SG the past 2 years and his true value is in his expiring contract next season. Morey even said we are in prime position to be players in that game next season.

I am all for Cassell. We need a leader on the court.

No way! Cassell shoots 46% and gets to the line. 5apg, makes teammates better. Leads. He puts a stamp on the game. BJ is simply a spark who doesn't know how to get others involved.

If we did get him, it would make the Bobby Jackson trade very pointless.

Someone would be losing minutes if we picked him up. We don't need Cassell... we'll spend all our energy trying to get Brent Barry.

If the Celtics or Suns get Barry, I would still prefer to have an option at backup SG better than Head.
