According to my texts, Kosovo has been primarily Albanian since the middle of the 15th century. When the country of Serbia was founded the second time, after gaining separation from the Ottomans, Kosovo remained as a part of the Ottoman Empire, and was almost exclusively Albanian.

Later, when the Serbs were funding the Black Hand to gain influence in Bosnia which led to WWI, they were also trying to repopulate Kosovo with Serbs via monasteries. But the Albanian residents of Kosovo were residents of Yugoslavia. They aren’t illegal aliens and they aren't newcomers.

I can list the conflicts and the individuals involved if you would like. In recent history we can talk about wanted war criminals Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić who are responsible for trying to take about ½ of Bosnia and 1/3 of Croatia and annex it onto Serbia. Did that happen or not?

Fundimentally, there is no equivalent to the idea Greater Serbia in Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, or Albania. If you think I have characterized Serbia unfairly, please feel free to respond with facts. I don't think you will be able to. My opinion of Serb aggression is based entirely on my study of Balkan history. If I say the Germans were to blame for WWII in Europe, would you say that I am a racist? If you say yes, and if that is your basis for calling me a racist, that’s fine.

Here's what I was able to find on wikipedia:

[It is estimated that 200,000 to 400,000 Serbs were cleansed out of the Vilayet of Kosovo between 1876 and 1912]

[By the end of the 19th century the Albanians replaced the Serbs as the dominant people in Kosovo.]

[The Kingdom of Yugoslavia lasted until the World War II Axis invasion of 1941. The greatest part of Kosovo became a part of Italian-controlled Fascist Albania, and smaller bits by the Tsardom of Bulgaria and Nazi German-occupied Kingdom of Serbia. During the fascist occupation of Kosovo by Albanians, until August 1941 alone, over 10,000 Serbs were killed and between 80,000 and 100,000 Serbs were expelled, while roughly the same number of Albanians from Albania were brought to settle in these Serbian lands.[8]
Mustafa Kruja, the Prime Minister of Albania, was in Kosovo in June 1942, and at a meeting with the Albanian leaders of Kosovo, he said: "We should endeavor to ensure that the Serb population of Kosovo be – the area be cleansed of them and all Serbs who had been living there for centuries should be termed colonialists and sent to concentration camps in Albania. The Serb settlers should be killed."]

It didn't take a genius to know that the Serbians would tear into us instead of the Europeans who are primarily backing the measure.

Now we have to look strong as if we held all the damn cards.

    LOL

"So... Europe doesn't look like a horse, but it would be cool to show an American cowboy not really so much riding it as kind of hunched over and leaning on it, with, um, like a rope tied to England. Okay, I can't draw a cowboy, but sort of like a traffic sign guy with a plate on his head, and then... oh crap, the protest is starting?"

Are you aware that Italy invaded Albania in 1939 and Albania was an Italian fascist puppet state for the duration of WWII, like Norway for Germany?
