If this is true, this isn't a bad move, but not a great move either. Its a very low risk move for a very young player with potential. He clearly has the athletecism and maybe Tmac can teach him some skills and the game so Green can gain some basketball IQ.

Or, this might be the Rockets way of making up for the Rudy Gay deal last year. Just get another high flyer for the future and who knows what Tmac can teach him. He's only 20 years old I believe...

Was Morey a part of the Celtics group that drafted him? I forgot about that.

c'mon dude, t-mac was actually working hard improving game and forming a dynamic duo with vince carter and leading the young raptors into the playoffs against a very good new york team, where a defensive mastermind jvg confessed later on that he vividly recall they had trouble guarding tmac.

what has gerald green done other than fancy dunks. I think this kids has potential but he needs to work on his attitude and realize this game isn't only about dunks. defense needs to be played, and cuts/PR needs to be run. he has way too much to learn and he hasn't even started it.

all he thinks about is dunking on people, at this point i will have to say he is stromile swift's little brother.

Wow, you're right. Green is tall. It's still not surprising why he was being compared to Tracy. 6'8, with that athleticism....wow.

It's this year that makes no sense. Why the lack of PT? why the horrible fg%?

Good post, I enjoyed reading that draft scouting report of Green. I felt as if I was reading a description for Tmac when he first came into the league. He has a lot of upside and I really hope Tmac, Battier, and Yao take him under their wing and help him flourish.

Green coming home can either be a good thing for him or a bad. He is still young and can screw up by coming home. I just hope he works his butt off and becomes something special at home. It was a good move by morey, low risk-high reward.

I trust Morey too. He was there when the Celtics first drafted Green and Green had a good year off the bench last season. Morey cashed in with Brooks, Landry and Scola. I have no doubts that BJ and GG will cash in as well.

TMac played during garbage time the first couple of years for Toronto.I remember watching the end of those games when we would play the Raptors with the game out of reach, thinking Gosh, this guy is going to be good.

Green is young with mad talent.Surrounded by the type of guys the Rockets have I see no reason why this deal won't bear MAJOR fruit. The Wolves were jammed up at the 2/3.......Great job by the Rockets front office in getting a guy with ALL STAR potential.Yes,this is a low risk deal, but I believe Green will flourish and so will we.

Rick Adelman will bring along this kid just fine. He is the perfect coach for him.

I would be pleased to hear that Green is with the Rockets but the news that Bonzi has been given to a divisional rival which is also a contender spoilt
    every inch of happiness within.

If trading Snyder for Green was enough to get under the luxury tax, then why did the Rockets give up Bonzi? Tracy needs to have the ball in his hand and feels comfortable passing the ball. Bobby Jackson isn't likely to do much else apart from shooting.

if he can average 10 pts on the then-crappy celtics team i am sure he can get the same number (if not more) here in houston with all the open jumpers he will be getting.
    is he athletic?
