morey claimed he used his data to help the celtics draft green. the rockets were also very high on him and on draft day cd said he tried to trade up for him.
It's people who don't buy lottery tickets. Gerald Green could turn out great, could turn out okay, but most likely he will suck. Even so, all you spent on him was a dollar, and it was worth it for the long-shot chance that he might be great.
These comments are hilarious. Green is going to ride the pine and will prolly be a DNP player and Morey "redeemed" himself. We got rid of MJ's contract and inconsistent Bonzi and people want Les to sell the team. The thought process of some people here are astounding.
different team can give player new life sometime, look at the guys we had gave up,Arzubuike?Mike James in toronto, and or Jefferson?
Green WANTS to play for Houston. That right there is going to make him a better player. How many kids dream of playing for their hometown team and actually do get the chance? He's going to want to do good here. In Boston, he had a decent year, 10ppg in 22mins. Like somebody said earlier, he was a very pretty shooting form. Once he gets confidence in his shot, he could be a stud. It doesn't hurt to have another player that can attack the rim.
He is 21 years old? And you have already determined he is a scrub? I mean he may very well turn out to be one, but the Rockets control his rights now and get a free look at him.....for a player that was not even in the team's plans. WELL DONE......a low risk potentially high reward trade. DD
I actually love this trade! Green is a young man with tons of potential and athleticism. Snyder was never going to contribute, and he wasn't part of the team's plans. Green is a much bigger player and he shoots better from three. It makes up a little for trading Bonzi to the Hornets for Bobby Jackson.
