Why is every one dogging this trade? Snyder wasn't doing anything for the Rox! This is a low risk trade to see if Green can make somthing of his Pro carrier. His contract will end at the end of the season so its just a rental. If anything it will make the Houston fans happy to see a home town boy on the team.
Are we honestly going to rely on this guy to contribute? Without Wells and Snyder, I guess either he or Novak will get the time. Huge gamble if true.
Yes, but the Rockets still would have to give up additional players to absorb Green's salary. The trade must be Snyder for Gerald Green and Chris Richard. It's the only deal that works and makes sense.
Rockets get Gerald Green for Kirk Snyder, pick Fox 26 Sports is reporting that the Rockets have traded Kirk Snyder and a second-round pick to Minnesota for Gerald Green. Interesting - not a blockbuster by any means, but he does bring some athleticism and youth. Plus, no one else on the Rockets can blow out a candle while dunking... Thoughts?
He can't shoot, he can't pass, he can't rebound, he can't defend. The only thing he know how to do is dunk, and he even got beat in that this year. Yes, splash indeed
Doesn't seem like he can (33% from the field), but he does shoot a decent 3pt percentage. 38 this year and 37 this year. He seems to have been better in Boston. But I don't know much more than I can read in his stats card at a cursory glance. High school kids take time to develop and we weren't going to get much more than this from Kirk Snyder anyways -- so yipeee
do not forget there is a second round pick thrown in there. Landry is 2nd round pick, for your record
People that defended the gay for battier trade should not be rejoicing this acquisition. Green is like 2 years behind gay developmentally if he even becomes that good which i doubt.
Morey had said that he was working on finding a place for Kirk Snyder to play. Minnesota will do just fine. Green? Well, he's nothing. His deal will expire and he'll be out of the NBA. Free roster spot for next season.
He has beautiful form on his jumpshot, almost Reggie Miller form. He doesn't hit very many of them, though. He has some of the prettiest missed shots I've ever seen.
