Snyder is the only reason that we felt we can give up Bonzi. More time for Landry is absolutely not the case, as Landry shares time at the 4 and 5, not 2 and 3. Snyder may be a better outside shooter, and a capable cutter, but he doesn't pose the matchup problems that Bonzi does. (nor the ability to create his own shot)

God, the only reason for this was to save that cheapass Alexander some money, wasn't it? We are actually hurting ourselves, and helping a division rival just to save a little cash...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let this be a prequel to a much more impressive trade.

Remember that OLD guy we had on our team - Eddie Johnson that hit that winning 3 pointer in some playoff series? OLD can't be that bad for 10 mins a night.

Well...Jackson's contract next season will be expiring. This offseason...we could potentially trade it for artest or miller because it's huge dollars that will go away. Next year he will be a comodity, but not now unless he produces good numbers. Lets hold out judgement until after we see him in action first. We know he is game ready because he played last night. He might play tonight, but i doubt it. Most probably against the Hornets.

hopefully we can sign a free agent that can play SF

You have no idea what you are talking about. Nor do you know what Landry's full talents are.

That isn’t childish….that is a part of the deal (or it should be). A lot of fans (like myself and it seems the majority on this board) want to pay to support a good product (i.e. a winner). If the Rockets were taking the Grizz role then I probably wouldn’t be buying game tickets this season. Even if that were the case, I might consider it if they were upfront about what they were trying to do so no one is being teased. But don’t hype us up on being all about winning (i.e. the marketing campaign before the season) and then cut corners to save dollars later on. That is BS and it’s not childish to be upset about it.

Definitely for financial reason. It's tough to see Bonzi go obviously he was one of our best slasher for easy basket as well as helping with rebounding. But Jackson's experience may serve well in playoff. Would have been happy if it were James+ Snyder for Jackson.

And I suppose you do? Looking at what Landry has done so far this year, tell me why you think Landry can replace everything Bonzi did. I don't think I remember Landry backing anyone down. Not once. Landry has an acceptable jumpshot within 18 feet, but it's not consistent enough for him to be a threat from out there. Landry HAS gotten most of his point off of hustle plays, fast breaks, and finishes off the motion offense. If you think otherwise, you're a fool.

Again, I agree. It's not childish to be upset about it. It's childish to call the owner a "douche bag" over it.

well he came into the league at 24, and has played 6th man minutes for many years. plus he's just a firecracker. he still has a wicked first step and cross over. still can run circles around the likes of quick guards like jason terry. i recommend pudding for a mid-day snack today: :p

He can shoot well - hits the 15' regularly. I have seen him play the post very well so backing a 3 up in the low post @ 6'9" 250 lb is an option.

That's what he has done because that's what he was called on to do....I think he can expand his role a little bit if needed. I've seen this guy in practice face people up, dribble and pull up for jumpers...He has really impressive skills that alot of us haven't seen in games yet, but I think it's only a matter of time.

    Wow, are you serious?

    A) Bonzi is quicker on the perimeter than Landry is. This helps on both sides of the ball.
    B) Bonzi at this stage of his career is a better perimeter defender than Landry.
    C) Bonzi is light years ahead of Landry when it comes to getting inside the lane and getting to the line. He is probably the best at getting to the line on the team (since Yao can’t ever buy a foul).
    D) Bonzi is a veteran and can get some gimmie calls from the refs that Landry can’t.
    E) Bonzi has playoff experience. While this doesn’t mean Landry will flop in the postseason (see Horry & Cassell), most teams usually don’t rely on rookies for big production in the playoffs.

No, I don’t think Bonzi is the savior. I would just prefer not to ship him off to a DIVISION RIVAL for an old guard. I guess my beef is my disbelief in Bobby Jackson, and the fact that we have no reliable size on the perimeter outside of our starters. We have enough small guards and we have for years….

ESPN also needs some copy editors.

Bonzi Bells has a nice ring to it...

Jacksdon is washed up right now,He's worst than mike james and was the third point guard on the hornets this season. This aint sacramento 2002-2003,That was 5 years ago when he won the 6th man award, he's aged and got slower and is always hurt. We gave away toughness, defense on occasions, rebounding and a low post mitch-match nightmare for other teams to a team in our division.
