I Harris will be a nice player. I think he is more of SG/SF at the NBA level don't see any reason why the guy can't become a Bonzi Wells type offensive player but with more intensity and defense.

Power Guards are rare these days but they are a nice addition to any roster. Especially when they come cheap and are not forced into a rotation prematurely.

I hope they sign him. Hopefully, he'll get a chance or two to show something in garbage time of a win (not because of injuries), like Landry did against the Timberwolves. The fact is that at the moment he'd be out of the rotation, but he'd be a nice player to have around for the future. Head, Brooks, Landry, Hayes, Novak, and Harris... this team would be getting younger fast.

First I would love to have Mike Harris back. What he showed in the pre-season was such an eye opener.. But guys help me a bit here. I know why we didn't sign him I'm just wondering why no other team signed him? That is the only red flag I see.

I'm all for Mike Harris but that would make what, 4 rookies in the rotation if this happens? There's a big difference between playing rookies and relying on rookies. The only exception is Sam Cassel.

The thing is, we aren't talking 18 Y.O. rookies. Scola is 27, Brooks is 23, Landry is 24 and Harris is 24. Yes they are NBA noobs, but they are all "mature" rookies.

Anyone know what his contract situation is at the moment? Is there a buyout the Rox would have to deal with?

Harris would be a good aquisition for the Rockets. He's short at 6'6" but during the summer leagues he was outhustling and outrebounding Landry. Now look at Landry and how he's doing in the league. Honestly getting Harris could make up for the loss of Bonzi. I'm not going to say that it will make up for the loss of Bonzi but it gives us more firepower than an aging Bobby Jackson.

Yes. He shoot 3 balls well and have a pretty good 18 ft middle range. The best of all is he can jump and dunk immeidately from under the ring. No running needed. That's why he's a better rebounder than Landry.

Hey, look at it this way... if we sign Harris, next season, Rockets can have 2 competitors at the All Star Dunk Contest. Makes the pain of losing Banzai easier to handle :D
