Let the lockerroom trash talking begin T-Mac vs Bobby Jackson Round 1 Left, right upppercut. Ohhh the takedown! T-Mac is down.. [Steve Francis vs Bobby Jackson Round 2 "Bobby Jackson can hold my jockstrap" - Steve Francis Kirk Snyder vs Bobby Jackson Dammit I asked to be traded!! Now I got you here in front of me
Of course you should. This move was basically suicide for the 2007 season. They may as well close up shop. And it has nothing to do with some stupid fight years ago. The players on the team were excited about a hot streak they were on. Now they see their owner is obviously not endorsing their success or giving them a chance to maximize the season's outcome because he just wants to save $. They know the team is going to be worse. There's going to be frustration and there should be. A move like this is going to just suck the life out of the team. When upper management shows 0 faith in you with a move such as this one, it's going to trickle down. Why would you not be down and frustrated if you were Yao/Tmac/Battier/Rafer/Scola when you learn about this move. You just lost one of your solid rotational players for nothing. Just GAVE him away so your boss could make a few bucks. When Yao and Tmac are looking out and seeing their window close over the next couple of years, this has to hurt them. They've just had probably one of their 2-3 remaining years worth of window for a deep playoff run absolutely crushed by their own owner. They see other teams making bold moves to get better and then see their own team make one to clearly and undeniably worsen in the most competitive conference this league has seen in years. Yao/Tmac were always a bit soft anyway. You think those guys ahve the mental strength to deal with owner-induced self-destruction, set it aside, and play like there's no tomorrow? Yeah, right...
we gave away someone who was actually chemistry wise a glue guy. who was the first out there to congratulate novak? bonzi. bonzi messes around and loosens guys up. BONZI! if you read this know that everyone here hates the trade and we wish you were still here we'll miss you! give new orleans something to cheer about!
i doubt anyone views this as packing in the season. sounds more like you feel let down that there is no blockbuster trade for the rockets like everyone else in the conference. dont get me wrong, this deal was to get under the LT. but at the same time maybe a vet PG behind rafer is more important come playoff time than an athletic swingman. maybe a guy who can create his own shot and guard the 1 and 2 better than brooks or head is a good thing to have when guard play has been a weakness. i'm not saying i wouldn't have rather had artest or mike miller, but lets not pull a chicken little.
