I'm cool with this. For whatever reason, PG play has been the biggest issue during our 4th quarter meltdowns. Bonzi Wells is good but doesn't play hard, often enough and I don't have a problem with any of Novak, Snyder, LandryI, Snyder, Head, or Jackson taking his minutes. They're all capable of contributing and it's up to Rick to find what works, when.

I'd still like to see Artest in a Rockets jersey, but that's gravy if DM can get it done.

If I was a GM, I'd try to fix the glaring weakness of a team... and then see if I can't pull a Ron Artest Rabbit out of my hat, ala the Lakers.

Face it, the only reason most of you are upset is because you think Bonzi is going to magically turn into another player in the playoffs.

Wells is big, and can take anyone when he posted up, so losing him hurts but Rafer playing 40+ minutes against the best of the western conference PG's in the playoffs makes me cringe too.

This is a lot less risky than hoping Bonzi decides to get interested come May and now the rockets roster is a lot more flexible with all the bad contracts gone.

Actually, it is the most practical trade that the rockets are able to make right now.

It's time Morey !? This deal sucks if we don't get Ron or Miller tomorrow.

I am hoping for a second trade. However, even if there is no second trade, I am just glad we got rid of Mike James. His contract runs a year longer than Bobby Jackson's, so...

Just feel that there is a deal between Rockets and Hornets: the team with lower rank will help the other team. It is our time to pay back (we got Wesley and Snyder from them, now we pay Wells).

Pick up a newspaper. Look at the date and then look at what YEAR we are in.

Your comment made perfect sense...FIVE years ago.

If you look closely at BJ, you can literally see the fork in his back.

Why are people looking forward to getting Mike Miller? We need Ron artest. The west teams are stacked with strong guys and having outside shooters to rely on that can make or break us (mostly break) is not a good idea. We'll end up in a 3 pt contest with the suns. If we get artest and T-mac gets his fg% back to 45, the rockets have a chance. If not...it really is a shame we lost bonzi.

    Dude, im confused and upset.

Man, let's trade both poor T-Mac and Yao, so that they can have a better chance somewhere else.

... hopefully, there's another trade in the works.

I don't like this trade, primarily because I was hoping for Artest, Miller or Cassell, but if we keep him, Bobby Jackson does know how to run this offense, so he'd be a better backup than James, in case Alston goes down.

But, getting rid of Well's expiring contract, that seems like it's got to be part of another deal in the works, where one guy was needed, instead of 2.

Basically Rockets is not going to win this year especially with T-Mac sub-par performance. It will be lucky if they can get to the playoffs. Mike James and SF are not working well as planned.

I think it is a great move

Mark Cuban pays 11 more million to get Kidd's deal done.

Les makes a move to get himself 2 millions from luxury tax collected.

Other teams make moves to upgrade.

The Rockets make move to downgrade.

    Big contrast here. :(

    This stinks big time.

There's an old adage that you don't trade big for small, and Wells was one of the few big guards we have who can legitimately play. Jackson is washed up. I don't think his knees even let him perform at half of what he did in Sacto back then anymore.

Now we lose both size, athleticism AND output. All for 2 freaking million. Give us a break Les. What the heck is 2 million to you?

This better be the prefix to a second trade, or else I'm gonna be royally pissed.

Good Trade,Although Bonzi played good this season, he will definately want a big contact next season,ROCKETS Boss won't agree .Bj is a good player and experienced. His contact will be over next season, and our team can Sign someone ,eg, Artest~~~WOW,Good trade for longterm building.
