I agree with your point that what Bonzi really wants is to get a big contract which is also the reason bonzi came to Houston initially. I do not think Bonzi would take his current contract next year. And as for James, absolutely great move and big unloading. This trade also gives us some hope to acquire artest or doing something bigger next year. All in all, great move.

If you're going to make a serious run at the championship then commit to paying the luxury tax for a couple of years. It's total p***y bull**** to get halfway through the season, panic and decide to try and cut salary.

I'd really buy into this is I thought Yao and TMAC had a 4-5 year window at least to win it all.

Realistically, with TMac being an old 29 and Yao likely to decline pretty quickly once he passes 30 yrs old (only 2 1/2 years away), you just cant make a move like this where you sacrifice a great deal now to improve next year.

Why did we trade Battier for Gay? We knew the window wasnt long and sacrificed the future for the present. This move flies against the way the team is and should be built (win now)

Sweet trade for the Rox. Wells was jumping this summer, and MJ is useless at this point. BJax fits in well and can nail the 3. Good pickup.

You know, I may not be particularly happy about this trade... but I'm failing to understand all these people who insult Les.

It's not your money, or your team. It's his. You want Bonzi back so bad? Pony up a few million dollars. No? Well who's the "cheap ass douche bag" now?

Yeah but the Rockets are competing RIGHT NOW, which is why I think the trade for Jackson is bad one.

THX.your words make me feel a little better now,I think this is a necessary move to another trade in the future.
But on the other hand,it would hurt us this season,I love Bonzi~~we haven't much time to waste...and I don't\won't think Mo Williams is a good choice for us,he is a ballhog with no any brain.

    1) It's not his god damn money. He GETS it from fans like us.
    2) If he was smart enough and cared enough about the team, he'd know if he just spent JUST A LITTLE more money, he'd probably make EVEN more by winning.

When you're that god damn rich, it shouldn't even matter all that much anymore. Don't give me that ****.

I'm sure Le$ bashers understad that it's his money and team. But is there no loyalty to the fans? I mean this trade shortens the depth of the Rockets bench. The Rockets are in the middle of a win streak at 9 games. Bonzi Wells is/was a contribtor to this run.

Les' team is in playoff contention, so what does he do? Sacrafices contributing talent to get under the luxury tax. He save money, but the playoff chase is effected. Look what chemistry issues did to the team early this year...and even now. Now that the Rockets are getting used to each other, they trade away a key component and bring in a new guy.

It's Les' team and money, but this guy is making enough money to take a luxury tax hit. Plus, as fans, we'd like to think of the Rockets as our team as well.
