Like someone ate the rookies lunch during the draft?

Too early to judge right now.

Why wouldn't Seattle do a deal with us for BJax and our expirings plus a draft pick for Wally S and Delonte now? They shave over $7 mill off the payroll, pick up a draft pick and wind up with BJax's $6.1 million expiring next year instead of Wally's $13 mill expiring. It would be much easier for them to continue to move pieces like one of Ridnour/Watson for an expiring or trade exception. Remember they are in stiff cost cutting mode along with Memphis. And if we sent out BJax along with Francis, Snyder, Head, and Hayes and Haluska, we could take on Wally S and Delonte and still be under the luxury tax.

If you want Mike Miller, why wouldn't you want Wally. He's every bit the scorer and a better defender than Miller. Not to mention getting Delonte to back up Rafer without losing Brooks/Landry/Scola.

A deal with Seattle is a no brainer for them if we give them a draft pick or two. They dump salary and get a pick and we get a definitive 3rd scorer and our backup point guard and stay under the luxury tax.

    Git 'er done.

The other six teams are all upgraded. Rox just down graded. What a crazy move!

Bonzi was redundant because we have Kirk Snyder wearing a suit every game with the collective playing time of a quarter the entire season?

It isn't that the trade is that terrible... Jackson may be good, even if his shooting percentages have been bad for a while now. He certainly knows Adelman's system/style and is comfortable off the bench.

It's just that it's a salary dump first and foremost.

I'm guessing: Morey sought the best deal he could given the task he had to pull off, which was dump dollars. Obviously losing James, who wasn't playing at all, is not a loss... Bonzi also was expecting to be paid in the offseason, so I don't mind them trading him.

But it's a bit of a disappointment that other West playoff teams are willing to absorb salary to bolster their club while the Rockets are pinching pennies. I guess it's what we deserve given the poor attendance numbers, but it sucks.

not crazy about the trade, unless its a precursor to something bigger...but hey, on the bright side our team now has:

    Head and a BJ

Maybe he was less familiar with the system, less trusted by Adelman, but I think a backup SG/SF is not as important as a backup PG...

This is a good trade....everyone will come around eventually...it makes all the sense in the world.

Bonzi was bad on defense, a terrible 3pt shooter (the shots that are generated in this offense more than any other) and was not good as a post up player this year either.

As a cutter he was very good, but too often he didnt do that.

    Good trade.

Rick Adelman wanted Bobby Jackson and If I was Bonzi i feel like a backstab.

IDK what to think Bonzi was legit player , but if bobby jackson can make a hugh contribution then i would be happy

Bobby Jackson's Line Tonight against the Mavs:
MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS
    27 6-11 5-9 0-0 0 4 4 2 2 0 2 1 17

Not BAD for a 2nd string guy. It says the the Hornets use him as a shooting gaurd though. I would speculate that Luther Head will be gone by tomorrow's deadline somewhere but don't know where.

We are doomed if we are going to rely on Synder to fill Bonzi's shoes/relieve Tracy. Doomed.

Looks like this is just a salary dump. I like Bobby Jackson a lot but I think Bonzi's play has gone under the radar. He plays in the low post and attacks the basket, his shooting isn't very good, but no one else really drives in that much.
