    very interesting....

    here is the article

The Rockets reached agreement on a deal that will send Bonzi Wells and Mike James to New Orleans to get guard Bobby Jackson, individuals with knowledge of the talks said.

The deal, which has grown to include minor involvement of the Memphis Grizzlies, is pending league approval, with a conference call is scheduled for today for the NBA to review the trade.

The Rockets will make the move to add Jackson as a veteran point guard to play behind Rafer Alston, sending Wells to the first-place Hornets while getting New Orleans to take on the two seasons and $12.7 million remaining on James' contract after this season.

Jackson is signed for $6.1 million through next season, potentially offering the Rockets the roster flexibility they did not have this season.

The Rockets will also receive rookie guard Adam Haluska and either their own or New Orleans' second-round pick, whichever is greater. They had previously been sending next season's second-round pick to Seattle to complete the trade for the pick they used to draft Carl Landry in the 2007 Draft.

If Morey can pull off Mike Miller after this, it would be a dream come true. Otherwise, just an eh move.

    S H I T...

Well, this has Adelman AND Morey written all over it, I've supported Adelman ever since he became the coach, I hope he knows what he's doing in bringing Bobby Jackson over here at the expense of Wells.

The Rockets are an improved offensive rebounding team. They were actually an even better defensive rebounding team in past years.

I would say 3-point shooting > offensive rebounding.

The top five offensive rebounding teams (in terms of rebound%) are: 76ers, Bulls, Hawks, Cavs, and Knicks, all of whom are bad offensive teams. Oh, in our championship years we were at the top in 3-point shooting and bottom in offensive rebounding. I rest my case.

Good trade, Bonzi was not exactly playing all that well, and James contract situation had grown to Mo Taylor like status.

Bobby Jackson can be a good addition off the bench and is better than Aaron Brooks at this point in their careers.

    I like it....nice tweak.

I don't think we should've given up on Bonzi, at least not for this package of Hornets flotsam :/ . I hope that is this is only a percursor to something more substantial. If not, I'd think we come out on the losing end of it.

I think we are going to follow-up with a deal with memphis,,, Why was miller held out today? Maybe the miller deal was contingent on the deal with NO

Jackson is a rockets killer. Now we can win the game vs NO.
