Okay, okay...I'm not a Jordan fan, I'll admit. And the reverance he gets from the mdia and refs drives me crazy...But the guy believes his own hype...Did anyone else see him after the Bulls game? He went on and on about how playing in Chicago was on him, how his concentration wasn't there, how it was like playing against family...and every now and then he'd say, something like "I'm not making excuses"...and then he'd go back to yammering about how much playing in Chicago had contributed to his having a bad night. This when he wasn't crowing about the fact that he believed that the fans would have cheered him through till dawn if they hadn't turned down the lights to stop the adulation...What, he doesn't get enough press, he's got to give himself some? I know I'm ranting, but this guy can really get under my skin...

And, if it's true that his 9 (!) turnovers and 7-21 shooting night were caused by returning to Chicago, what happened to the guy who castigates teammates for lack of focus? Who went on about knowing he had Vince Carter when VC politely asked for his phone number after torching him for a half? Who has demanded complete concentration from teammates even duting All-Star games? I guess the excuse has to fit the bill...It's not what he says that usually bothers me, it's what he insinuates...Okay, I haven't slept yet (working on a paper) so, anyone tell me, am I just suffering sleep deprevation, or did his post-game PC bother you too?

Edit...ARRRGGHH!! Is there any way to correct typos in the thread title?

What made me a Jordan-disliker is his postgame comments in 1995 after losing to Orlando in the playoffs. He came out and said something about how his team needed to play harder for him and how they didn't step up for him.

It wasn't about the team, he didn't mention the fact that he got stripped at the end of the game, just that his team wasn't good enough for him. Of course, the media just ate it up.
