Are you guys really arguing over whether or not Manu got posterized? The video is right there...it proves it. That's all. Nobody's saying the Spurs suck, or Manu should have ran out of the arena red faced and crying. Just he got posterized. It happens. Happens to Yao all the time. Though, that block Yao had on Lebron in the pre-all star game was kind of a cool reverse posterization...i wonder if thats on youtube.
This dunk looks similar to Yao on Malik, shown below... <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SMDPtqZjtjU&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SMDPtqZjtjU&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Who the hell cares if Manu got "posterized." It takes a lot more balls to stand in the path of a guy who is about to thrown it down regardless if you realize you're not outside the circle, knowing that people will claim JRich posterized you. No I'm not a Spurs fan, but what Manu on defense is more impressive than JRich just jumping at him and slamming it.
Who cares? How about the boatload of people of this message board who don't like Manu and his not stop flopping like a b****. So your telling me that you would watch rather watch a highlight mix full of people taking charges, rather then a mix of people getting posterized?
you're right, dunks are not impressive. standing and getting run over is. i bet you dunk on people all the time.
what is up with all the manu lovers. J Rich should have dunk on him and kicked Manu in the face at the same time. That would be even better. Manu is such a gaywad.
I am so confused... Regardless who won or who loss, if you like Manu or hate Manu, whether JRich is amazing a dunking or not.... That clip in itself was a good clip. JRich completely posterized Manu. What has become of this bbs when people start debating whether or not a good dunk is a good dunk? <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Gv109W3b5nI&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Gv109W3b5nI&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> They even replayed this on the big screen in Dallas....
What a way of being posterized!!! Now Manu has a pic to put in his room, along with the NBA Rings, the Gold Medal , the Euroleague... you know... I like the Rockets, but i am also Argentinean
Manu was trying to play hardnosed D. He didn't realize he was already a foot inside the circle. He got posterized. JRich's move was sweet. But Manu's guts to step in there should be respected. Playing D where you sacrifice your body and ego (especially having to deal with the masses talking about how someone posterized you) is impressive. Most "stars" in the league step out of the way and not onto the train tracks when it's coming. Thanks for the responses that tried to slight my little bit of objectivity
Yeah, it's kind of ironic that we, as Rockets fans, watch this kind of thing happen to Yao every other night, and when it happens to a rival player it's some huge deal. As a huge Yao fan I have long since embraced the idea that it's not about looking good, but being effective.
You are mistaken my friend. Go look at videos of Amare Stoudamire and you will see how one can play in the NBA and not get posterized! That guy is a ****ing coward who runs when people go to the rack!
Like someone else said, it was a sick dunk, but Manu had his feet on the floor and wasn't even trying to block it. So... eh..
