Morey will make a trade if he feels that the team is not good enough, says all the young guys panned out, while the older ones they brought in have failed.

Rafer - JVG says if you go back to the MJ for Rafer trade, he thinks CD made the right decision during that trade, and says if you view both of their careers since the trade Rafer has been superiour as far as winning etc.

And says that in the playoffs Rafer has not shot well, he has proven he can win big in the regular season.....but not the playoffs so far....

And JVG thinks he can play better, that they were so reliant on him, that if it was going bad for him...the team suffered....think the Rockets need someone else if he struggles....but feels if Rafer is the 4th or 5th best starter, you are in a good position.

JVG thinks they have good tradeable assets.....thinks any of the PFs are marketable.

Might even trade Scola if you could get someone like Odom

JVG would like the Rockets to try to get Miller for Luther and something......

Now JVG is ragging on Miller's wearing the headband...lol comparing it to pig tails......hates those worse....

JVG thinks the Rockets could get in there and steal a Mike Miller size player...better size at the SG.....says look at the Jazz and Kyle Korver...thinks DM has enough pieces that he could make a move for a really good player.

JVG thinks that last year if they got the right breaks they could have won it all last year, and thinks this year the same is true......thinks the Rockets have a real shot and is a great road team.

JVG is ragging on Gay putting up big numbers on a horrible team.....he thinks Battier is more of a winner...and if you reversed the trade, Houston would lose more with Gay and Memphis would win more with Battier....

Says they would not have traded Gasol because Battier/Miller/Gasol would have won 49 or 50 games....

Talks about Gasol trade, thinks that Stern should not get involved in trades.....but that Gasol trade was a major steal, and thinks that Mike Heisley is the only on that benefited....

Says it is hard enough for Memphis to support a team, and especially a bad team.....but that trading away your best player for basically nothing is bad for the fans.

Suns and Shaq - Thought it was a gutsy trade, no brainer from Miami's standpoint.

Huge risk for both Phoenix and New Jersey.....trying to go from really good to championship level, will O'neal be healthy.....will he be there.....thinks he is capable but not the dominant player he once was.....

It says 3 things

1. Disliked Marion and Banks chemistry wise

2. Didn't think they could win it all being small

3. Give Mike D credit for being able to coach any style

Says coaches don't care about style, just want to win......and thinks it is probably better that the Suns slow it down some....gonna be interesting to see how it is going to pan out.

Comparing move for Shaq to Rockets getting Barkley......

Says you are always trying to get your team in a best position to win a championship....

Lakers trade - no brainer

Thinks that it is the fragile nature of sports that drives you to making these types of moves, and that GMs get paid for being right, thinks that the Suns were one Stoudamire staying on the bench away from winning it all last year...

THinks there are 6 teams in the west that can win it...and beating Boston or Detroit is gonig to be tougher in the finals this year too.

Talking Walton and Shaq......says he doesn't agree with Walton often but thinks that Walton has a right to an opinion and thinks Shaq saying because he was a better player Walton's opinion shouldn't count...but JVG thinks a lot of people were agreeing with Walton even if the opinion was delivered harshly, hopes they both move on......

Thinks anyone who questions Walton's credentials never saw him play the game that he was a GREAT player.

Says you can't put Marivich in the same category with Bill Walton......says that Walton was better as a college player.

Thinks there is no way to compare a winning player like Walton, with Marivich who did not enjoy the team success.

Says he would take Lucas Allen over Pete Maravich. (Sarcasm)

Hakeem - thoughts on him.....where does he rank among the all time greats...says he has to be in the top 5 or 6...says he just kept getting better over the course of his career, came in as a good player...but got better as he went along.

Got to be a better passer, and had a better winning temperment....took an average talented Rockets team to 2 championships....thinks the Knicks that lost had better personell other than Cassell....and thinks that the 2nd one was even more impressive.

Doesn't really like how the All star game in baseball including the home field advantage....for the winner....

Thinks the NBA's way is fine.

JVG says from the All Star break on....regarding the lottery......that the team with the best record after the all star break should get the most balls so every team plays hard to win....

Talking about teams tanking so they get a higher draft pick - thinks that is very bad for the league overall.

Talking about Nick Van Excel and how he finally grew up and understood how to win finally as he played under popovich.

JVG agrees with NVE that the Rockets will get out of the first round....but thnks that the goal should be higher..and that the Rockets can win it all.

Thinks GS, Denver and New Orleans can not win it.......but that any of the other 6 can.

Talking about NVE saying that JVG didn't want him.......late in his career....JVG agrees...saying he was probably right....thinks early in his career he was great, but that late, he wasn't durable enough.

Says you shouldn't judge players unless you actually coached them.....

Who is going to be President...loved Obama's speech.....not sure who is going to win.

Regarding Roidger Clemens - Is that the best use of our governments time?
Thinks that they should be focused on poverty, healthcare, the war.....and is fairly disgusted.....doesn't have any idea as to whether Roidger did it or not and really doesn't care.

Says that you don't do Billichek style and that you should work within the rules to try to win....defending Bill Billichek and thinks Matt Walsh may be bitter....says you should not try to win by any means necessary...be ruthless in the pursuit of victory within the rules, thinks that it does not taint their Super Bowl championships.

Asked about JVG being fined 100k.....thinks that Billichek being fined 500k was ok for him because he made enough money.....JVG loves his disdain for apparel and thinks his press conferences are hilarious.

Likes the bantor between Coach K and Roy Williams.....

Hopes Coach Sampson comes out ok....

I think JVG is right that we need a player like miller with shooting touch and height.

Not sure about scola for odom. given scola is not young anymore and his upside isn't that big. However scola is not as injury prone as odom. i will keep scola over odom anyday.

let's hope morey can get a great trade in before the dealine.

i guess JVG lost his love in head. at this point package head, sydner, and MJ/hayes for someone morey!
