Yeah that Karl Malone and Charles Barkley. They didn't win any rings either. What a couple of Charmins. Same with Garnett.

I kind of see what you're saying in terms of giving up and1's. Sometimes a guy gets a shot off right in his face while he backpedals with his hands up. He still needs to consistently go for the block. I think he's probably conditioned by the raping he has taken from the refs his whole career. What you call soft, I call trying to avoid foul trouble.

Less people consider Yao is soft, however, more people wonder if he is a leader.

some people will always think yao's soft because of his playing style. yao fans just need to get over it. it's not really that big of a deal. david robinson was called soft. chris webber too. even kg at times. i don't think you can make a really good case yao is tougher than those guys.

He is the leader of Rockets alright. Every opponents focus their game plan on stopping him and at times TMac also. So Tmac is co-leader for Rockets also. Why? They lead Rockets in pts, rebounds and others.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the only record of Yao getting both feet off the floor.

Sorry couldn't resist. People need to realize he didn't grow up here so he won't fit the mold of typical centers. He's the center's version of Dirk. Incredible range for a guy of his position and because of that doesn't care to bang down low as much as a typical center. Non-american centers just tend to not have that "dog" attitude. Not necessarily bad and at 23-10 I would say I'm fine with Yao's style.
