He does guard pgs if the situation calls for it...If we got him and deron williams was lighting us up he would be on him real soon

Hayes did not play tonight against Cleveland. Is he possibly involves in Artest trade?? He is young and has good defensive skills.

If it comes down to Landry or Brooks, I give up Brooks. Not an easy decision but, understand many a time a PG takes at least 2 possibly 3 seasons to season and become a star. He has the earmarks of a star but, can he bring it night after night that's the question? Landry on the other hand, is a bulldog that instantly powers up our front court. He and Scola are making a BIG difference getting their shots off, gobbling up rebounds, playing smart defense and helping to execute the offensive gameplan almost seamlessly along side Yao without disturbing the team chemistry.

Say what you want naysayers, Artest makes this team the ONE to beat and potentially take it ALL this year! He's THAT good! You want him to be a Nugget? Any team Artest goes to he makes a playoff contender, a championship contender! He's kept his nose clean and largely has stayed out of controversy that would potentially put him back in the Commish's doghouse AGAIN! Unlike the Pac Man Jones fiasco in the NFL. If we can get him for a 2-3 year extension then, sorry to say but Brooks is part of a numbers game. Nothing personal just business!

Just an additional note, Remember Michael Dickerson? He was one of the so-called untouchables that helped us to land Steve Francis away from the then-Vancouver Grizzlies! I'm just saying ...

My prediction: The rockets do not make a trade for Artest. They are too reluctant to give up Brooks.

It is possible that we acquire an Andre or Mike Miller for the exchange with a combination of James/Hayes/Snyder/Novak/picks, but unlikely.

hayes didn't play because the rockets needed more offense.

there is no artest trade. notice how no other media outlet has jumped in on this? the source of this rumor was a blog by the kings beat writer dreamcasting trade scenarios.

As much as I like Artest's game, the problem I have with him (aside from his expiring contract) is that he's supposedly a chemistry-killer who tends to whine about his shot attempts. He doesn't want to be a third piece for the sake of pushing a team to a ring, he wants to be The Man, and I don't think the Rockets need a guy like that.

With the way the west is going, the Rox must feel compelled to make a blockbuster move like this to make the team better. I don't know though, the Rox are really playing well now and this trade has to include Battier to make it work. Artest is a good player but did he have an impact on the Kings becoming a winner, thats my beef with Artest, he didn't take the Kings to the next level.

If we had Artest during last year's series with the Jazz, you know Artest could have stopped Boozer.

Only a couple of more hours left. And with Nuggets beating Celtics, thats not a good sign for whether Artest is choosing us over Nuggets.

In last nights game against Portland Artest was guarding Roy and he shut him down in the last 3 minutes of the game.
