The guy really had a good game last night. Not only did he hit shots (4-6 including 1 three) but he played decent defense, gave up fouls and played SMART on the floor. That is the thing I like about him most. He is very composed and makes good decisions. You rarely see him making dumb rookie mistakes. Give him his props.
Other than stuggling with his shot a bit, how can you really fault the guy? Like you said, he plays smart, solid defense, and even does a little boardwork. Looks like a solid young player to me...
Please don't let him shoot the three anymore. He couldn't shoot threes in college and moving the line back isn't going to help. In fact, if he just didn't shoot period, I would be happier. I would like it if he could develop, a big small forward is a nice luxury, but if he can't develop some shooting skills he will never have a place as a SF in Rudy's offense.
I have said before, and will say again...T-Mo and Griff should be our starting forwards for the rest of the year.
Once he shows he can hit the open shot more consistently I will be more than happy to give ghim his props. One game does not a career make, unless you are Cato of course.
T-Mo played a good game for a change. The thing is that this guy has no handles, and is a poor shooter, kind of reminds me of SA. DaDakota
the knock on shandon (besides the shooting) was he couldn't guard the big SF. well T-mo can, and may even develope a better jumper. nice comparison though.
Jeff, I agree we needed to give Tmo some props. I was at the game at Boston and I was very happy with him there although he fouled out. I saw him in the shoot around and it is clear to me that he can shot the ball and he is smooth with it too. In the same light Collier is a shooter, plain and simple. Hopefully he and Langhi can get some time soon.
