    Fellows, friends and trolls,

I am getting to do what would be a dream (notwithstanding that DREAM got me to love Rockets in the first place)...to see a Rockets game live :p . I am in Houston on 24th.....

    Needed advices on several pieces..

First seats...since its once a lifetime opportunity...I am going to splurge way more than I can!!! Are club seats worth it (online looked like in the 200 $ range). ..If yes which section would be the best..ideally one behind the Rockets bench!!!...online the floor level seats appeared 500 US $. ..do these come down closer to the game...if they were in the 300 dollar range..i would love to get hold of one.

How much in advance must I be in the vicinity of Toyota to catch the whole game - I am flying in from orlando that afternoon.....and i am staying somehwere in the Galleria area....Flight lands around 5 PM...is that good enough to dump stuff at the hotel and get to the TC?

Where to hang out after the game - what would be good place/s to hang out after the game....both to catch up with Rox maniacs and to check out the night life out there. :)

Any and all advice is welcome!!! ;)

I can help you with a couple of those with some opinions.

It is my experience that club seats like row 15 are really good. I like those seats as you can see the entire court but you're still low enough to be close to the action. I've heard that floor seats aren't worth the money in that you can't see all the action. The best seats I've had were like row 15 in section 109. The game was awesome from that vantage point. I think the tickets face value was 200. I haven't ever had better seats than that but the season ticket holder I got them from said he prefers those to any lower as he's had them in the past and didn't think they were worth what he was paying for.

If you're coming in from out of town I would try to get in as much as you can. Getting from the airport to the hotel and then to toyota center in 2 hours might prove to be difficult (especially with unpredictable Houston traffic). If you can go straight to Toyota center you might be better off since you're splurging on the tickets. Hope I helped.

Yeah, I'd definitely sit in the club level, but not too low. I also prefer sitting opposite the Rockets bench. You can see them better, and don't have to worry about them standing up.

If you are having that much trouble finding a single ticket, use Craigslist or stubhub.com or something of the like. You can probably find one.

I don't live in Houston anymore and haven't for a good long while so I can't help you with traffic and game time decisions, but from what I know watching Warriors games, unless you are really into the "hearing/seeing the players super close up", it's not worth the money to get floor level seats (as many have said) because of various distractions.

Anyways, good luck and I hope you enjoy your time. Go Rockets! :D

I would try to get a seat just below or next to the Red Rowdies section. You'll be behind the basket, but the energy will be 10 times better than sitting in the club sections.
