I want to record from my cable box (Comcast HD box)

I see it has a S-video out and a composite out but these are SD.

It also has a DVI video out. Is there anyway to hook my PC up to this and record the output?

I am NOT looking for a DVR type setup. Just want to record a HD movie with minimal investment.

Just get a HD TV tuner for your PC, make sure it has DVI and other inputs for the sound. I haven't looked into tuners in awhile, but I'm sure the technology is there as well as a program that comes with it to record.

All the ones I have found are for broadcast HD only.

You need a video card that has some sort of video input connection. I have one that accepts a coaxial cable input so I can just hook the cable up directly to it or I can go through my cable box.
