Quit defending him.. he's a terrible shooter, and only hits a couple of threes b/c he puts up a ton of them. To top it off..he's a poor rebounder.
I'm stating facts, not defending him. I've admitted his weaknesses, and shooting is not one of them. Thomas is a career 44% shooter, and 37% three point shooter with 3 seasons over 40%. In addition, he's a 47% shooter and 44% three point shooter (87 of 198) in 53 career playoff games. Saying he only makes a lot because he takes a lot is silly too. If you're a good shooter, you should shoot. It's not hard to figure out. You're right. He is.
Okay, guys and gals, it's time to return the thread to normalcy. The Rockets are not going to make a major trade. They are not going to screw around with the chemistry Adelman has developed. We do not have desirable trade contracts either because they are too small or because they belong to players that are desired by other teams. The only trades that will be concluded will be tiny tweaks, Snyder or perhaps Luther for somebody. Young, talented, athletic players I have on my radar and who might be obtainable include Gerald Green, Antoine Wright, Maurice Ager, J.R. Smith, Peteri Koponen, Josh McRoberts, Zaza Pachulia, Fran Vasquez and C.J. Miles (although not necessarily in that order).
Seems Kidd to Dallas trading is not going to happen. Can we somehow get in using Scola, Rafer, MJ as key pieces? Scola can give them the big they want, they got Rafer as a starter in PG. Both Rafer MJ only have two years left in their contracts and will be easy to trade after one year.
We don't want to trade Scola. He's stabilized our team as a starter. You'd want to go back to Hayes? Landry is not starter material (YET). We're not getting Kidd. Go for something small, as others have suggested. I'd like PG help who can play D. Or a SG/SF who can hit a 3Ptr and D up on the other team's best guard/SF.
D minded PG who can shoot? Trade McGrady to Chicago for Hinrich, Deng, Noah and whoever else to match salaries. May have to throw in Landry, or bring in a 3rd team though. THEN trade Battier to Sacramento for Artest.
Jose Calderon! Low TO and high percentage PG. Will need to include a 1st round pick to have any chance at this trade though.
Not only a PG who can play D but also be able to creat for others in case Tmac is injured again. SG/SF can hit 3p and D up? It's Battier. Look, we have Yao 3 years left, Tmac 2 years left (he might just quit after 2 years) . If we can get Kidd and keep either MJ or Rafer as back up PG. We'd have a lineup: PG: Kidd/MJ or Rafer SG: Tmac/Snyde SF: Battier/Bozi PF: Hayers/Landry, Landry/Hayers in the future C: Yao/Deke This lineup can survive with one superstar out for injury. If this doesn't work out after next year. Both Kidd and Tmac's contract will be easy to dealt as expiring.
My Proposal: Mike James Kirk Snyder Shane Battier for Vince Carter Skip/Brooks/Francis Carter/Head/ McGrady/Wells/Novak Scola/Landry/Hayes Yao/Deke Championship caliber team that can compete with the new trades that add more offensive power to Western Conference teams.
How come the guys stats go up in the playoffs? Unless u just started watching hoops, u don't remember thomas in milwaukee, do u? Thomas is by far perfect, but he is a PROVEN PLAYOFF PERFORMER!! What he can do is cause matchup problems, stretch a defense and get his own shot. How many rox players can do that? He makes 5m on a sorry team so u don't have to give up much. He can.be another cog in the wheel or are u hoping the system gets players shots in the playoffs?
My proposal: Chill out, we havnt been on a rediculous streak because or team sux..... No Trade needed this year, T mac just needs to maintain his move to a role player....
Post All-Star Random Trade Thread The other thread was getting pretty clogged, thought I'd make a new one. better put this in the trade thread...but i do believe is that Seattle qould our feasible trading partner..
That was the point of having a random trade thread. To throw all the useless random never going to happen trade ideas that you people come up with into one single solitary place. It was meant to get "clogged".
