My mistake was jumping on something ESPN ran with. I should have known better. I say next time the Rockets play the Lakers we send in Chuck Hayes to slap at the ball in his hand like crazy.
There's no way he misses more than a handful of games, as long as he doesn't aggravate it. It's Kobe....as much as I hate him, he's nails when he has to be.
Why the hell did they choose Dirk for the 3pt competition?? Can't they get some one new? Same people in the competition again...Kapono,Peja,Dirk... I would rather watch Amare shoot some 3s at this rate.
I just had to go look that up. From wikipedia: "He (Ronnie Lott) cut the tip of his left pinky finger off after the 1985 season, when it was crushed tackling RB Timmy Newsome. He did so in order to continue playing football without risking further injury to the damaged finger."
Wow.. hate to say it, but it's good news for the Rockets.. and it's not like we haven't had to deal with our own injuries this year too.
it hasn't affected how he play so i doubt it's that serious. i watched a lot of lakers games on LP and it doesn't seem to hurt him or anything except for that one game v. atlanta.
It probably won't affect his game all that much...He can still get to the basket and his FT touch is still there.
I hope he doesn't hurt the rest of his career if he is deciding to play with an injured hand. Also I watched the game when he injured his finger. He attempted to still the ball from Jason Kidd dislocated his finger there. It was one of those freak accidents.
I am not worried. This is Kobe we are talking about, his past track record playing through injuries speaks volumes.
Wow, guy is playing with 4 fingers on his shooting hand and it doesnt stop him from playing hard or driving with ferocity, oh TMac u pain me!!
Why compare T-Mac to Kobe, arguably the best player in the game? I dont get this board sometimes. Kobe injures his hand and it turns into the 39683046 bash McGrady thread...
He should get it fixed, guys are going to be slapping at that finger ALL YEAR LONG.... He needs to get it fixed soon, I think he is making a mistake.....hopefully it will hurt the Lakers in the long run. DD
