We do need a trade before the trade deadline, we need a starting calibre PG. We do not need to trade Tmac before this trade deadline.
mcbaby and reefer are both chokes. trade them now while we can still get something decent in return for them.
I think... no one wants to come play with... a big stiff.. who dosent get foul calls.... and prefers a fade away jump shot... over dunking the ball... and Lazy Mcgrady... who has mental issues... and plays like a girl...
I admit there is some truth in what you say. When Yao and Tracy play below their level the situation becomes horrible to say the least.
Rockets still need a reliable 3rd scorer or third star. See other top WC teams, they all have 3-4 boardline all-star players. Rockets have only two. This year WC is really abnormal.
Hello, you're an idiot! McGrady bowed out of ASG because he wants time to improve his health and work up on his game. It's obvious that he can play better and I think he knows that. He's not 100% and if we trade McGrady who can replace what he does? It's hard to get equal value for star players. Remember what we gave up originally to Orlando to get McGrady? Only Mobley was a real value player that we gave up. So who would be a possible answer? Artest maybe but, we would still be where we potentially could still be. McGrady and Artest would be a formidable combination if the Rockets can make the numbers work! Remember also does it make sense to trade for Artest if we cannot keep him long term? If McGrady has mental issues why does he STILL provide open look opportunities for his teammates? Is it McGrady's fault that his teammates don't make the shots that prevent him from getting consistent double digit assist numbers? I guess that's just a coincidence, right? Artest would be a great pickup for us so long as we signed this guy up long term. Rental player option is NOT a viable option and I'm sure Morey agrees in that respect.
Sorry, not with out a third consistent threat. When we face playoff defenses, we're going to need to have someone besides t-mac who can penetrate and create a shot for themselves or others. You can't just have head and novack parked outside, defenses will adjust in a 7 game series and figure that out. That's why we lost to Utah and Dallas. T-mac can't be the only play-maker on this team to go deep into the playoffs. You need someone else, and their name aint rafer alston. Until we have that - a second guy who can get a pass from someone inside (either yao or t-mac penetrating) and then again penetrate or shoot the jumper - or pass (triple threat) - we won't go anywhere.
I think so too, and that guy is... Spoiler I know he is crazy but the Rockets need someone who can make big shots and also fire up the crowd/teammates.
Dallas is getting Jason Kidd = Dallas is worse now. Kidd is one of the best in the game, but he's old and Dallas lost 2 of their most important players in that trade! Phoenix got Shaq = Don't get me started. Shaq has been "wrapping it up" since last season. He may have one more go in him left and he will give the suns production, BUT THEY LOST A HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN THEY GAINED, when they released their best player on the team!! Utah got Kover = lols, Korver? mkay, he can hit the 3 ball sometimes, but he's really a liability on defense and i still prefur him IN the lineup when we play them. Spurs got Damon Stoudamire = Again, nobody. What's he going to do for the Spurs? Maybe a little, but they are still worse overall than last year when you factor everything in and the core looks like it aged couple extra times. Lakers got Paul Gasol = The only trade that actually did good for the team imo. Lakers stole this man, plain and simple. It reminds me of us getting Scola, we stole him too! In the end though, we're still capable... Yao, Scola, Hayes, Landry, Mutombo >>> Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Mihm Overall, we do need a better PG who doesn't choke under pressure. Mike James needs to stand up prove himself worthy. We are still capable though, Scola, Landry, Bonzi all make us alot better than we were last year. Now, if James would deliver like we know he can, we will be set from top to bottom.
In December before getting Korver the Jazz were 4 wins, 11 losses. Korver's arrival since then has coincided with 18 wins, 3 losses.
I wonder what the Clippers would want for Sam. I wonder if the Rockets have inquired about him. I wonder if Sam would want to play here, instead of the assumed destination of Boston. I think he's the best bang for the buck.
