I wonder if it had to do with the gun-man having a bad breakup or something. But still.... dang this is nuts.
CNN is now reporting 2 people have been shot and several injured. They are also saying the gunman is dead.
Yes, there was one in Memphis this week at Mitchell High School. It was a single incident and only one was injured. This is the 3rd school shooting in Memphis this school year. The next day a brawl broke out at the same school over the incident and several students were suspended. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2008/feb/11/student-shot-mitchell-high-school-lockdown/ Our lovely Mayor has finally decided to put more police officers and metal detectors in all middle and high schools. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2008/feb/13/board-member-says-memphis-city-schools-should-be-s/
I think I read about this one. Didn't a kid come in and shoot another in the back of the head in a computer lab or something? Anyway, don't expect those extra police and metal detectors to last too long when cutting time comes for the budgets.
WTH? Do you read everybody's profile or something? LOL! Yeah we both lived in Jonesboro and I still do but candycane lives in Memphis now, as stated above.
Not unless someone gives me cause to, like candycane mentioning a "Lovely mayor" without being specific about the city.
