We are 32-20 during this year's all-star break. Doesn't anyone remember our record last year during all-star break? The west is even tougher this year. If we have a similar record compared to last year at this time, we've done pretty good.

I believe we were 33-19 at the break last year. Just a game off that pace. But March is going to be much more difficult this year.

Nice. Then we haven't really regressed at all. :D Considering west is much tougher this year, which is pretty scary since the west was already really tough last year.

    04-05: We were 32-21

    06-07: We were 33-19

... That's... kinda disturbing, actually. But you're right, the west is tougher now than it's ever been. And we are hotter now than we have ever been in the Mac/Yao era.

I don't care about our regular season record, as long as its good enough to get into the playoffs.

I just want to see our playoff record change:

    04-05: 3-4
    06-07: 3-4

I just found something else interesting... I remembered that in 04-05, we went on an 8-game winning streak also, but I didn't remember when.

Turns out that that year we went into the break with an identical 8-game winning streak... we came out of the break and promptly lost three straight, haha.

We're not going to repeat that this time.

    We're on a 50 win pace now, and that's a good thing.

In the east maybe. heh, in the west, that sadly won't even guarentee an 8th spot.

Except for the fact that Yao missed 34 games last year... We were expected to improve on our record just on him being healthy this season. Especially considering the depth we added this year. We aren't doing significantly worse than last year, but at the same time we are trying to improve on last year. In the end, playoff success or lack of it will be the only thing that matters.

its actually pretty impressive our record is that good when you consider coaching change, new system, new rotations, player personnel, and injuries.

    lets hope things continue.
