My vote is the 2 for $2 quarter pounders from Mc D's A close second would be the taco/burrito combo from Taco Bell for $0.98
I know you said right now, but McDonald's doesn't always have that deal. Don't know about the Taco Bell thing. You can get two burgers at Sonic for about the same price as the McDonald's deal on Tuesdays. 2 Tacos for .99 isn't bad (Jack in the Box). I know it's not fast food, but Taco Cabana's breakfast has always been a great deal. You can get some crazy stuff there for cheap. Eggs Mexicana...yum.
I love fast food. Pros: It's convenient, it's fast, it's good, it's cheap Cons: Greasy, fatty, you never know when you could drop dead as you continue your daily lives eating the stuff day in and day out, sometimes you get some burnt(twice cooked) fries with your regular fries, sometimes the meat has rocks(little ground up bone fragments) in it and is difficult to chew, biggie sizing pushes the envelope to 2 times the size of a normal meal(and the meal itself can be double or triple size a normal portion before the biggie size), blood vessels restrict and triglyceride/cholesterol levels rise Where can I get some more deals? I think Jack in the Crack had a 99 cent ultimate cheeseburger for a while(ooooh yuck).
The Jumbo Jack for $99. It is probably cheaper than you can buy rice and beans in Thailand. In Cancun City I went to a working class taqueria paid twenty pesos (approx $2) for a couple of very small tacos and watched the working class file in to the two for one whopper special at Burger King across the street. But the Jumbo Jack is king, though two of those greasy tacos might give yu more caloric intake for .99. No wonder Americans like me need to go on a diet.
Drewdog, agreed that the 2 for $2 Quarter Pounders is the best value right now. However, throwing down two QPC's makes you feel sick to your stomach afterwards. Another hot deal: Fritos Burritos at Taco Bell: 99 cents Can't go wrong with the Jack's under a buck, and Wendy's 99 cent menu. Good food, cheap. Perfect for college students like myself.
baqui99.. the taco bell near my house stopped selling chili cheese burritios and frito burritios.. said they stopped selling items with chili? not sure if all did that or not
I vote for the Jack in the Box. TheFreak, if you like the Taco Cabana breakfast, I need to take you to Juan in a Million over in East Austin. Their Con Queso breakfast is simply the best breakfast ever.
Wendy's Quarter Pound Texas Double ROCKS for 99 cents Jack's 99 cent 2 Tacos (I like BK's better though), the Western Cheeseburger for 99 cents, 99 cent Chicken sandwich and the 1.99 Ultimate Cheeseburger are kickass. That Ultimate Cheeseburger is AWESOME!
I say Jack in the Box. 1. It gives you the most food for $.99 2. The prices aren't only for certain days 3. Lots of variety (Jack just added the Texas Cheeseburger) 4. THEY'RE ALWAYS OPEN!!!
La Mexicana on Montrose has tacos for 1.75 each, and you can walk through the line up front for fast service. It is not as cheap as Jack in the Box, but these folks make the best damn tacos in town, and the price is right. For value, I pick La Mexicana.
Yeah, Jack in the Box....I went there once not knowing any better and asked, "are you'll still serving breakfast?". The lady was like, "sir....we serve breakfast 24 hours a day". Now, I'm thinking about eating breakfast fulltime....hehe...j/k .
