Nice stats. Yao's jump shot% is low, but it is not that bad. 5% of his jump shots were blocked because he is slow. He often shot over double teams, and often drew fouls, which hasn't been counted. I think he needs more confidence to shoot wide open jumpers.

thats probably true for Mcgrady as well. He rarely gets the wide open jumper and nearly always gets double teamed on the drive to the basket. Im surprised though at the fade away number. Im just a bit smug, these figures show he rarely shoots fadeaways which apparently are horrible shots and he does all the time *cough* wekko *cough*

35.2% is a very very bad percentage for Yao who shoots FT at 85%.

with this percentage, Yao wont draw any double team and fouls.

Utah series was the exposure of Yao's inability of making a jumper.

I think Yao should control his jump shooting attempts (drop 49% to 40%) and look for pass more.

Good read. But what's the definition of fade away jumpers? I don't think a fade away got a higher percentage than a jump shot.

Did we watch the same games? Yao's FG is 393-776, FT is 321-379. At least, 20% of his shots were fouled, and even more than that, how many times have the f**k refs swallowed their whistles? How many times was his jump shots open? Easily, he is a 40-45% jump shooter.
