If we can hit 3's with some degree of regularity, and not let Dorsey and Dozier kill us on the glass and not let Douglas-Roberts (what is Douglas his maiden name) light us up we might can keep it close. If we can keep it to 6 or so in the second half, maybe our superior foul shooting will play a role. I think we have a better chance to trip em up in the conference tourney, specially if they have a loss at that point.
If the stars align....... You never know in college hoops. What a win it would be for the program though.
The line is Memphis by 16. Thinking of betting Houston in a 5 point teaser...so I'll get Houston +21. I think they can cover that, but I'll probably choose to stay away. Crap, so tempting.
The Cougars should cover easily....and I'd look at the money line for a small portion. I think we have a good chance to actually win this game in their house. I'm calling it.....The streaks go bye bye tonight. Coogs win in an upset! Eat em up!
its MEM41- HOU37 17:30 in the 3rd anyone know if i can get cstv online somewhere? i cant find anything with sopcast or tvu...
UH lost, 59-68. once again, terrible officiating in the 2nd half, but after watching the one at hofheinz, am i surprised? hardly.
Shoot 2-17 to end the game and lose to #1 by 9.... Moral victories can kiss my ass..but we can play with these guys. If we slip even once more to somebody else not named the Memphis Tigers. THEN the pundits can argue that we don't deserve to be there. But if we are 27-3 against non Memphis opposition we need to go to the dance.
Oh well, We looked good in the first, but couldn't convert those fastbreaks to start the second. It looked like the officials swallowed the whistle when we were fouled on those layups. No doubt Memphis picked it up a notch, but our shot selection was awful.Memphis could have been had tonight. The momentum change at the start of the second was definitely aided by numerous factors. They DID cover easily though.
