I sometimes read Gilbert "Agent Zero" Arenas' blog. On that point, he is talking absolute non-sense (my opinion). Thoughts ?

This is the first thread I post. Expect to see me a lot more in the future. Thanks to Clutch and Clutchfans for everything !

    To Mr. Agent Zero:
Washington Wizards doesn't miss a bit and in fact is a better team playing without their all-star big-mouthed guard!

    Signed,
    Calderon!

Arenas can be entertaining at times but he can also be annoying. I'll eat my keyboard if he ever wins a title. I'd say I would eat my keyboard if he ever even made it to the Finals but since he is in the Leastern Conference, where any team can get to the Finals, I will keep quiet on that one.

I would take Calderon on my team over Arenas if it wasn't Calderon's contract season.

He has shown he can be a pure shooter, but the question is will he continue improving his game next season? If yes, I take Calderon over Arenas for sure.

    Calderon- makes his teammates better
    Arenas- not so much
So... Arenas is taken off of his team the Wizards. And where are they? Guess Arenas isn't an all-star by his standards.

good point, but realistically, if you could add one of these players to the rockets its a no brainer.

I don't understand all the hate. Why are we criticizing Arenas for speaking his mind. I guess you guys like that politically correct stuff. He's telling it lke he sees it. Calderon is a 3 year back up point guard who is average.

I haven't watched Calderon play much, but he's putting up some outrageous numbers. Here's a comparison to Steve Nash:

    Code:
              [B]mpg pts/36 ast/36 reb/36 to/36 FG% 3P% FT% PER[/B]
    Calderon 31.6 14.1 10.1 3.6 1.8 53.3% 46.1% 92.1% 22.6
    Nash 34.4 18.1 12.2 3.6 4.0 50.7% 47.0% 90.1% 22.0

And Calderon posted a very solid PER in his second year as well (19.1), so I don't know if this is a fluke.
