How does it happen these days with 'modern' women? Seriously...how do they get talked into this? It's baffling to me.
I'd be lying if I said that the original thought wasn't similar. But outside of having another set of hands around the house, I'm happy being monogamous.

Not all women are "modern". The same type of woman who was able to be talked into it in the past still exists.
You're telling me that, for example, you couldn't find two women who would be willing to be married to Brad Pitt at the same time? If, say, one day women were 80% of the population and men were dying out, you don't think it would become a normal thing? Several factors to consider. The problem, I think, is not getting them all to marry one guy, but to keep them from murdering each other over time.
Well...these are pretty fantastical scenarios. I'm talking real life. And honestly...religion? I think it's safe to say that a large majority of people's religon says 'no sex before marriage'...but that doesn't work out too well these days.
Modern woman = Yeah I was on Girls Gone Wild 6 years ago. But I'm over that now, and deserve both an engagement and wedding ring. real good advancement in the new age...
