I don't know which is which, but the diff. between "record" and "song" is that one goes to the songwriter and the other goes to the performer. Obviously, In some situations it is the same, but in many it is different.
I heard "Rush" was mentioned in the Best Rock Instrumental category (which Bruce Springsteen won). Hey...I'm just happy Rush was mentioned. I don't expect them to win ever. It was their 5th grammy nomination, however.
Foo Fighters are the U2 of minor categories at the Grammy awards. They win almost every one of the minor categories they are nominated in.

Coming in with the typical I Dont Watch Grammys Or ANY Awards Shows response. Its been a loooong while since I've seen more than 10 straight minutes of the Grammys. If I had to think of one scenario beforhand that'd be a least desired outcome going is the one described, of Rihanna taking home an award. It does have its great moments with great performances though, will definitley credit that aspect of the show.
