Blue Thunder was the first R-Rated movie I saw in the theater. It had boobs.

    RIP Roy.

    Best Roy lines from Jaws:

"We're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Smile you son of a b****"

    RIP Roy!!!!!

Good actor. I always thought he was sort of a poor man's James Caan.

My favorite was his role as Dustin Hoffman's brother in Marathon Man. I always thought he was underrated even if he did get a couple of Academy Award nominations.

    I'm shocked!

He was a great actor and had roles in fantastic movies:

    The French Connection
    Jaws
    Marathon Man
    Sorcerer
    Blue Thunder
    2010
    The Rainmaker

Yeah, last saw him in that really bad Punisher movie, he was looking pretty old.

Happens to everybody eventually I guess.

RIP Roy. At least we'll get to watch Jaws once a week from here to eternity..

Jaws is one of my favorite movies of all time. Nothing like it back in the day.

I really hate to hear this as I have loved Roy for years.

French Connection and Jaws were great films. And I have seen Marathon Man many times..... he was such a classy guy too.

It seems a little early for him to go,but he WAS 75 and had been ill for a long time.

To me Roy always looked younger than he was as he took care of himself.

    Rest in Peace Chief Brody.

Didn't he also do "All That Jazz" -- a movie about Bob Fosse, I think.

That scene in JAWS where he first came face-to-face with Bruce was an all-timer.
