I don't see why all the red rowdies are getting pissed off. Some of us, like me, live in another city due to school (or job etc.). Believe me if I still lived in houston, I would be there.

This guy is saying the rowdies are not as good as last year, thats his opinion and I am leaning towards agreeing with him. So stop acting like a bunch of oversensitive drama queens. He did not insult you, it was constructive criticism.

Is that your best smack? Pretty weak, maybe you need to tag-out for someone a bit rowdier. Did you write that one down, bounce some ideas of other "Rowdies"?

Tonight's game was definitely better "Rowdies", but definitely not up to standards of the OG Rowdies. You're going to have to step it up. And what's with the silence when we have a 30 point lead? Rowdies shouldn't be scoreboard watching. It should be 48 minutes of intensity.

For those of you questioning my fanhood, since I no longer live in Houston. You can bite me. How many of you have driven 50 miles just to get into AM radio range to listen to Gene Peterson call the game on the side of the road? How many of you watched Ralph Sampson's shot at midnight Texas time instead of on ESPN Classic? How many of you were there for Stockton's dagger yelling "Don't let Stockton shoot it" during the timeout? How many of you know the opening line of Blinebury's column the day after Bill Fitch was fired?

I could go on and on, but don't even bring that in here. Most of were probably sucking on your mom's teets when I was rooting for the Rockets as a young fan. Sure, you probably shouldn't have been breast-feeding at 8, but hey maybe your mom liked how you worked it...

There were times last year that the Rowdies were "mic'ed". I haven't heard them tell us that this year. I didn't know what they meant by that but maybe that was for TV and not the arena.

Nevertheless, the Rowdies constantly great praise from the lower bowl fans as they leave the arena saying things like "we love you guys" and "keep it up guys." CONSTANTLY!

The Rowdies regularly start chants that we see people on the OTHER side of the arena hitting their "bang sticks" on beat with the chants. This season the PA announcer often never initiates the "Go Rockets" music (or whatever) because the Rowdies themselves start it. All they do is play the visual with no audio. They didn't do this last year.

So if your only frame of reference is by what you hear on TV, then that is, frankly, a pile of crap. After you've attended a game, then come talk to us about how loud the Rowdies are.

Until then, call us "pink" all you you want but we know you are sitting at home on your arse. Plus it is interesting that you start this thread when the Rockets have the best record in the NBA since 1/1/08.

This is my one and only post in this thread. Your opinion is your own and is baseless so I'm not gonna get into a pissing match.

Amazing. I think the Celtics regular season crowd gets as loud as our playoff crowd. No exagerration. They're playing the Spurs right now and it sounds like a Game 7 in the Finals.

Celtic fans have had LESS to cheer for than Rocket fans the past 10 years. I'd be pretty excited too if I were a Celtic fan right now ...playing the defending champs on a Saturday afternoon for a nationally televised game.

To compare this Celtics game at this point in time to the Rockets (who had such a crappy start to the season) isn't really a fair comparison. Of course Celtics fans are loud.

Let's be real, even if the Rockets didn't have a crappy start, the TC still would be at bottom of the NBA in crowd noise. Rowdies do their job, but they can't make up for the entire arena.

TC can definately be lame ...but it definately isn't the worst. Did you watch the Minny game? Talk about lame. Pacers weren't setting any records. New Orleans can't sell out a game despite playing so well ...granted they've got some other issues.

Honestly, the fans at the Spurs game I attended was pretty lame until litterally the final 2 minutes when everybody suddenly woke up.

TC definately needs help but I wouldn't call it the worst.

got the idea from the game thread, but it really would be cool if the rowdies started an audible "PHILADELPHIA" chant if at any stretch the rockets are playing w/o heart. make it happen rowdies

For all the people who think its easy cheering the entire game, standing and jumping around, making noise, getting other involved and showing passion throughout the entire game then come out to the rockets game on Thursday, February 21st vs. Miami.

I will be starting a new thread on how to get your discounted tickets for this game! Let's get all this negativity and funnel towards the opponent and not each other!

new thread is called Clutchfans night vs Miami on 2/21/08
