they could have gotten someone better than Will Purdue.. like Matt Maloney and stick of gum.

david robinson could have played that season.
    i believe it!

When you have Chris Wallace as your GM, bad things are going to happen. Chris Wallace is a perfect example of "How to wreck a NBA franchise" and he has good track records on that.

i dont know why pop is complaining - spurs ownership has pulled some tight-wad moves in the last couple years, most notably giving us scola for v-span. a frontline of duncan/scola would have been nice. ownership just didnt want to pay the guy.

    sour grapes, perhaps?

Thank you. Pop thinks we have forgotten how he used Bob to do the tanking and then next season appear as the savior coach from his GM position. He is a morally bankrupt man - and should not be throwing stone.

    Pop, meet kettle.

Ironically, not just David Robinson was injured that season; so was Will Purdue, Sean Elliot, and Chuck Person. Tinman, should I try to find the actual x-rays of Dave's broken foot to prove he was injured.

You are right; he could have returned; he was cleared by Doctors with 4 games left in the season. Should he have laced 'em up?

Also, if the Spurs were tanking, they did a CRAPPY job of it; Boston had fewer wins, and more than twice the balls because of other teams pics they were holding.

"Spurs tanked to get Duncan" has been repeated so many times it is now common knowledge; although it simply isn't true.

Also, find the video of Pop's quote; he was joking: although the trade is inexplicable, especially with this most recent revelation that the Grizz AREN'T just dumping salary! THAT'S the only thing that makes the trade make any sense AT ALL!

though i dont disagree w/ your premise about hill being scapegoated, pop took over midway through the tank season.

    the tanking was on him.
