when's the deadline? maybe if the raptors start to lose a few before the deadline we could pull a deal like this: rockets get: tracy mcgrady raptors get: bryce drew walt williams another deal to do would be: rockets get: danny fortson celtics get: carlos rogers pig miller ------------------ johnny "red" kerr:i'm glad the bulls did'nt draft steve francis. dan roan: why!!!!! johnny red kerr:because he would forever be compared to michael jordan.
Don't players have to pass physicals to allow trades to go through? If so, trading Rogers is out for a few more weeks. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
The Raptors traded away Walt. I'm not sure they want him back. Besides, if they turned down Darrell Armstrong from the Magic... it's going to hurt alot worse than that to get McGrady. As far as Fortson, I love his rebounding ability. When he played for the Nuggets I was amazed by his power... Pitino truly must be an idiot to not play this guy. However, Carlos Rogers and Pig have each proved independently to be more worthy of time that Fortson. Carlos, w/ his amazing play and Pig with his power/rebounding/hustle/cost.
Pig is more worthy of time than FORTSON? Fortson was in the top 5 in rebounds last year... Miller is less than a journeyman. As for cost, it makes some sense... but Forston is cheap.
Fortson has struggled this whole year. His numbers are cut in half and he averages around 4-5 fouls per game in only about 20 minutes.
Actually, Achebe, I believe it was the Magic who turned down the Raptors offer. I can tell u for sure, the Raptors would never turn down a deal like that for one of the NBA's better point guards.
Used to be a big Tracy McGrady proponent. Now I'm not so sure he's in our best interests. Let's say we trade for Tracy. He's gonna be a free agent this summer, and (unlike Mobley) we would have to pay him big bucks this summer to keep him. No big deal this next year, because (other than the trade exception) we're capped out anyway. But I would really like to see us significantly under the cap when Dream retires, so that we can snag the huge free agent forwards.
